Brings back memories...I used to have my 400 right in front of the TV, that was until my dog decided to have diarrhea on top of it. Never worked again!
I remember we had an 800XL for christmas and i didn't really know what it was. Then i heard the strange loading noises and 10 minutes later we were addicted to playing The Lone Raider which was part of the software pack it came with. So glad it had a built in BASIC, which inspired me to program and seek a career in graphics/animation 😀
@@TheVintNerd thanks, there's something wonderful about these computers, I think they feel more personal than a bland box PC from the 90s. I remember when we got the disk drive and I felt like I was the kid in War Games minus the modem. We couldn't afford more disks so had to be careful how we used the blank one 😂 we take so much for granted now although I still run out of drive space when rendering animations 😂
@@voodoomotion5855 lol Thinking about my first Data Storage device... The Atari 410 Tape Recorder. Oh the speed and storage capabilities! LOL Well, if you're in the Southern California area mid-February next month then check out VCF SoCal!
@@TheVintNerd was there any difference between the 410 and 1010 tape recorder? When our 1010 became faulty, my parents were given the XE tape recorder. I thought at first it wouldn't work, they looked strange side by side. Years later when I bought my ST, I thought the XE tape recorder might plug into it due to the same grey 😂 was hoping to play our 8bit games on it. I only wish we were in California in Feb, it cold and raining here in the UK. We really must emigrate 😂

Love it! I had 3 or 4 of these. Starting with the Atari 400! My first computer!
Thanks! My first computer was the Atari 400, too. Great machine. -Cheers, Steve
Still have my 400! No other company (except maybe for the Phone Company) influenced my life more than Atari...great video!

That was my first computer with the same 410 we got for Christmas back in the day
Fun :) Keep an eye out; I plan on doing a re-Belting video of an Atari 410. Hoping I can get it to read tapes again. (Why? I Dunno! lol)
The Atari 130XE is my favourite looking of the Atari computers.
One of my favs, too :)

Brilliant and so well done. Only needed touch would be a cat or dog that comes around at time. Nice job.
Glad you like it! We had enough challenges with hours of filming w/o cats and dogs to share with. But, I hear ya :) -Cheers, Steve
