Riders are amazing and so are the horses but I would recommend putting a few more poles below the top one just so they can judge the height of the jump better. It’s only a recommendation but I love these sort of videos great work love that they praise their horses

the reason why half of the ponies knocked down the pole because the horses were going too fast they went flat. get them into a bouncy canter and not a flat out gallop the horses will jump much better. also, it would be nicer for the horses and riders if the riders were the right size for thehorse
No, its because there is a MASSIVE gap between the ground and the pole. They should AT LEAST put a pole on the ground under the other pole. The horses cant see the top pole if they're quite small, and have to lift their heads. Their speed was fine, but i think that these stables doesn't seem like a good stables to be. The instructor doesn't seem very nice... I mean honestly, if the jump was like the height of the final jump, to some of the smaller ones, you can see their eye level is literally level with the pole, and to them its just cantering through two jump stands, but when they get closer... OH GOD THERES A POLE THERE I HAVE TO JUMP IT HELP IM NOT READY FOR THIS. See? (This is not only directed at you, at some other commenters.
Wow, lovely horses! But remember to keep your heels down, if your finding it hard to I would suggest to shorten your stirrups :) other than that, your jumping was on point!!
Rosie Goodings if you play chase me charlie the right way you aren't supposed to have help. :) and a ground pole is help because it helps judge the distance to the jump.
+Kate Crossley Furse it's bad for the horse and it makes them jump worse actually coming from someone who's ridden for over 22years Rosie is correct , horses don't have vision like ours they can't tell the height of a jump when there's no ground pole or simply just a pole leaning on the jump as well to be honest cross poles are the easiest jumps not because of there size but because of the shape and horses can tell the height .
@@adrianawindwell7390 So when you go to shows and competitions there's ground poles before each jump? If your answer is no then why should it be different for chase me charlie.

Its very hard for a pony to judge the height of a jump over 50cm, I would recommend using a ground pole, which will help the ponies a lot.
the rules of chase me charlie state a ground pole cannot be used :)
