I love that you could take photos or videos in the museum. In the 1970's we were not allowed to take photos. I love the mosaics. Good to hear about the second place of docking for tours. I enjoy watching your video !
Second day of six on our Atlantic crossing. Cloudy but calm seas. Having a fabulous time. Our cabin Steward Noreiral has been great . My wife was sick in bed for 3 days and he checked on her all the time. He even brought her a case of water. Very attentive. All crew has been great. Ate at Sabitinis last night food and service were excellent. Won bingo for the third time yesterday. Always fun when win. Hope you are having a great time. Medallion Max is working very well

On Sun Princess and making this my ship my destination. Going to Spellbound tomorrow, excited. The ship is “different “. Other cruisers are thinking the same. But enjoying myself exploring, getting lost and exploring more.
At costa maya I loved the swim with dolphins. The pool had signs saying only people buying food and drinks could use pool. Non-alcoholic drinks were $17!!
I know my 98 year old Dad and I really enjoyed the shows on RCL Allure of the seas especially Mama Mia when we traveled on it in 2022. We sailed on a back to back on Ruby Princess then Allure. Now we’re going on another back to back but different ships, Regal Princess first and the RCL Harmony of the Seas. We’re leaving December 1st and I can’t wait to see Grease and the Jules Verne 1887 Ice show. This trip we are not planning on getting off either ship so both will be our destination for two weeks. I know we will enjoy both ships and can’t wait.
Also did a tour very similar to yours just 2+ weeks ago! Loved Akrotini, Oia and had dinner in Fira on the edge of the caldera before going down on the cable cars at night - so beautiful!! Thanks for the memories already!
We were in Santorini Wednesday September 4. Off of the Sun Princess. It was beautiful and hot. The problems were three other large ships there at the same time. When we went to leave there was a long line for the chairlift, people tried to cut in line, and there was fighting. One of our group wanted to take the stairs, so I went with him. Not recommended! Uneven cobblestones varied heights mules, and their excrement. Our tour guide said to come in April, I agree
Lots of interesting and really useful information as usual thanks Alison. We return to Santorini next year on our cruise out of Istanbul. We really love Istanbul and have spent a lot of time there but haven't been back since before the pandemic. We will be interested to see how you spend your return visit there.
Even though we attempted to get back to the ship early, there was pushing and shoving trying to board the cable car after waiting in line for almost two hours in 95 degree weather. Wife got elbowed in the face accidentally, and then intentionally when she nicely asked the woman to stop pushing. When I asked again I was punched by her husband. Until Santorini implements better crowd control I have suggested Princess go to Chania Crete, which many rave about.
