The first historical drama I seen that both male/female lead agree to marry but didn't have a scene of their wedding. The ending was good, but I was hoping they give us viewers a scene of their wedding. Lol. I can't complain it is still happy ending.

First, the song to this series is one of the most beautiful and sweet songs that I've ever heard. This has been an excellent series on so many levels including storyline, acting, sets, chemistry, emotions and so much more (two thumbs up to all of the people behind the scenes). A lot of hard word went into making this incredible story. I was really glad that the young male member of the Su family did not get executed. He had such a tragic circumstance in his life.That would have broken me, because down deep, he was a good man. I would love to see a second series of Ni Chang ten years later, he gets out of jail, they meet up again and he gets a chance to grow and become the great man he could be (and don't kill him off please). The love story of the Prince who was such an upright man, and how his loyalty, strength, encouragement and love won Ni Chang over who had the weight of the world on her shoulders was such a beautiful story. I really would love to see a second series of this. :) This ties in my top three favorite series. The others are General's Lady, and The Romance of Hua Rong.

It was a good story,never understood why to bring her sister back to life if at the end she was going to die anyway,it would be better if her sister lives her life as a girl and then Ni Chang and the prince having a big beautiful wedding. really really loved the storyline though it may not perfect / the outcome we wanted , it was definitely a good drama that kept me watching till the end 🤩
love the cast - they did such a good job portraying the characters (especially the actress who acted as yan wenxiu. it definitely wasn't easy, to cry and be humiliated every few episodes) . love their chemistry , definitely one of he best historical/costume dramas ive watched 🥰

I'm very upset that Ni Chang brother/sister had to die twice, she should at least had her brother in her life after so many years apart and thinking he had pass, and just when she found him he was really taken away from her and again she was along lose, but over all I truly love Ni Chang. I loved that the Prince left and after two year came back for Princess and this time she said yes. That is what real love is all about I cried like a baby.
