I want to thank you for the great demonstration on this instrument. I plan on buying one of these and I'd like to say something to all the uninformed critics here. I doubt you know much about anything and it is your insecurities and lack of talent that make you strike out at people who actually have talent. It's one thing to run your mouth from a self created podium where you stand out as the incompetent fool that you are and another thing to remain quiet and let your abilities speak for you. No one ever improved themselves by tearing someone else down. So many experts who don't know what they are talking about.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, respect that. You don't have to be a Maestro to appreciate or dislike music, just a listener. I say this as a Maestro of music 😁👍🎵🎼🎶🎙🎸🎹🎤🥁🎺🎻📯 Peace and harmony
Thank you for your reply, it is really annoying to read ppls neagtive comments when you are watching a presentation.
Nice sounding instrument - I presume these are all the presets. Lots of great electric piano tones....
I do wish Korg had not gone away from the joystick that used to offer back in the 80s though. I much preferred it for mod and pitch bend.
4:25 damn that sounds beautiful.
1:58 what is this magic... I feel weird... Obscure feeling....
Thanks for the great demo! I like the no talking and all playing format.
I think the Kross would be a great upgrade from a beginners synth. 30 years ago ny first keyboard was a Casio and although I had fun with it I didn't know how crappy it was until I upgraded to a moderately expensive Yamaha that didn't have onboard speakers. Please note: I'm not hating on Casio keyboards, they have improved over the years and they can't be beat as a beginners first keyboard in terms of cost and duribility. But like the Casio there are upgrades to the Kross that offer more in the way of features and sound capabilities.
The Kross is nice but if you're a serious player thinking about buying one and you're on a not so tight budget, for a few hundred dollars more, I'd get the Krome.
I have a Krome along with a MOXf. But I also bought a CASIO MZX-500. They are finally trying to break back in the professional market again since the eighties. It's no toy by any standard although I hate the keybed on it. It's a really powerful workstation sampler. I use it in production along with the others and it more than holds it's own. But I also know what you're talking about. Aside from the CZ-101 and FZ-1 from the eighties. I hated Casio keyboards.
I need names of all these songs being played on this great piano
This keyboard is so slim I like it
Could replace my current microstation. But that said listening to it I think its a (cross)Kross of a few Korg workstation synths like a bit of M3 , Electribe, Triton and R3 in there.
Does this keyboard has smooth uninterrupted sound changing?
Something doesn’t seem right here .. maybe the amplification ? Or the eq .. ? Ive heard someone play this live .. This keyboards sounds even more good .
depends on amping, speakers, how the presets have been reworked by the individual (most factory patches across all synth keyboards benefit from tweaking anyway), and internal/external effects and whatever else
I'm torn between the Kross and the i3.
I want this keyboard !
Me too.
Is there any possibility to do a own sound with this synth? in editor maybe?
can I used that as a music arranger greatly ?
MR. DEMO GUY, COULD YOU PLEASE, KINDLY TELL US WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE MELODY YOU'VE PLAYED FROM 04:24 UP TO 06:19 ? IS IT YOURS? PLEASE TELL US!!! IT IS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL!!! THANKS
Does the Krog Kross 2 give you enough headroom, to create production quality tracks? Of composing for Videos
If -90dB noise floor is good enough for you.
Looks and sounds great
Pretty coolest...
I'll buy one if they throw in Frank in the deal.😊
Why the arpeggios and bass sounds unsynchronized?
Love it.. I hope, I can buy it..
All I want is a synthesizer focused Synth - WITHOUT WIEGHTED KEYS. Seems hard to find these days, I'm thinking about just replacing my old Korg X5D because I don't like the new keyboards. Would you recommend this for my situation? Or could you point me in the right direction? It would be greatly appreciated!
This has a synth-action keybed.
the keybed on Kross2-61 is extra light and flimsy, barely "weighted"
Kross2 can be as synthesizer focused as you want. FA-06 has the edge by far, though, in all manner of ways.
Is a synth like this ok to learn piano ??? I would like to learn piano, but like with every instrument I try,. it matters much for me how it sounds. Sure, i could probably do with a cheap keyboard to learn basic piano. But they usually sound (for me) like I dont really wanna learn. So for me, as maybe unimportant it maybe in the beginning, but how it sounds is rather important to me. Otherwise I would loose interest very quick. Was the same for me with guitar. So, would it better be with a Synth like this, or rather a midi controller keyboard, where i get all the sounds through a DAW ? And how many keys should it be for beginning to learn piano ? 61, 76, 88 ?
If you wanna learn piano, i don't recomend this sinth, because it doesn't have incorporated speakers, so you May buy external speakers or maybe some hq headphones
for you, there are much better options like the Roland FP30, Kross2 is for making your own tracks with effects, drums, etc.
I love these strings on 1:10 What is that? 😃
Does anyone know what piano effect he’s using in the beginning ?
one of the FM piano presets
does this have speaker? or is it have to be connected to an amp?
No speaker External speaker required
This is just too candy bro
Lo amoooo
Which one is better korg kross2 or korg pa 300
Depends on your needs. PA is an arranger, while Kross is a full-fledged workstation. Sound-wise, I think Kross sound better.
great !
Can the samples be mapped across the Keyboard?
EverettDudgeon138.
Just one layer across the keyboard..I think
Hate to be critical but to play one sound for 30 seconds or more.... I turned this off after a couple of sounds because I can hear good playing anywhere, I want to hear many different sounds, not " songs". It's different if you display it's sound in all the octaves but that still does not take 30 seconds.
Rob Vacanti no prob, mate.. people have different opinions. But if many people didn't think the same like you, then what can you do? Keep criticizing..
Sir by mistake i have lost my sounds on keyboard kross2 which were installed previously😞, so how would I’ll able to restore it again...... please help
factory reset
Hi!
Does anyone know where the Melodie between 1:59 and 3:05 is from? A Song or Movie Theme? It Sounds so familiar.
Hope somebody knows it. Thanks!
Hans Maulwurf sounds like in armageddon movie but has different other tones
1:59 Armageddon? :D
Nice
Whats the NAME SONG OF THE SECOND 7:20
Did you find it?
NO NAME... IT IS THE GUY'S OWN COMPOSITION. SO BUY A PIANO AND GET INSPIRED AND DO YOUR OWN... SIMPLE.
Auto Accompaniment?
Which is better, Korg Kross 2 or Roland Juno Ds??
Look at the features of each and decide which you prefer, can't go wrong with either. Or get both like me ;)
The DS isn't touch sensitive, so if that's something that matters to you, go for KORG. Or look into the Roland Juno DI, which is touch sensitive.
roland juno
trust me
Korg is original roland is synthesizers...
Anyway both is good...
Hi can anyone suggest what is the best Keyboard Amp for KORG KROSS 2 ? Thank you in advance.
Behringer K900FX Ultratone Keyboard Amplifier (90 Watts, 1x12")
Only the best you can afford...
the only master USB (midi AND AUDIO !!!)keyboard to play/record IPAD lively inserted, playing any synthesis missing
want to sound same KRONOS ? replace general effect 2 (reverb) by a compressor, or limiter, or exciter.limiter then use general controler knob 2
need arranger : use 1.200 midi files pattern sync autotuned available for "arpegios" struming, playing, arpegiating with settings like NONE
USE PC EDITOR to SEE and EDIT all 16 PARTS TOGETHER real time LIVE ,ALL SETTINGS available (use wifi mouse!)
RECORD MIDI + AUDIO live, both real time TOGETHER no TIME:Bars LIMITS !!! as sync as are ALL IPADS APP, AUV3 {use AUM)
use Simcard to INPORT and PLAY 4 expanded banks from ALL-ANY KORG MODELS (oasys, triton, kronos)
KROSS #2 {only!) is THE BEST KORG SYNTH, layer sounds in Combi (internal+external i pac) , or split and NOW try to pretend there is ANY SYNTH with such features and sound
not yo mention ERGONOMY after you UNDERSTAND screen shift snd function menu ACCESS like NONE
just ADD NOVATION LAUNCH CONTROLER XL {add a hub USB) you NOW have the best USB Mater Keyboard
I OWN and USE OASYS,Triton,Kronos,RD2000,FAO6, Tyros5, BUT THE EASIEST (thanks to iPad) and BEST SOUND MACHINE
with 2046 programs plus 1142 combis ALL AUTO classified by instruments family,128 banks of favorites, 128 LOOPS -|and 128'gigas of songs 48k waves
as many midifiles needed to play from simcard 128 gigas (transferPC)
KROSS 2 so PERFECT than i have both 88 notes AND light weight kross of that video
Don't be silly to compare … NONE can offer THAT FREEDOM to compose or Play studio or stage presets
sound effects , editor are the SAME than KRONOS (reason it can play kronos program) NO FM don't worry
use ipad FM , and for bosendorfer pianos, ravenscroft : again use iPad layer… {or 13 internal pianos layers)
DON"t MISS KRONOS 2 … ANYBE your music style : CAN PLAY ALL !!!!
What the hell does all that mean! I'm new at keyboard but thought I knew a certain amount. I guess I need to look at the users manual for this keyboard. I have Hammnond SK1-73 key now but don't like the horn/syth/strings sounds. Want a B# sound, a sequencer, I don't know ....some other stuff.
The only comment here that I couldn't understand which more than needing a compressor or an extra knob, it needs better LANGUAGE STRUCTURING on your part. NO ONE UNDERSTANDS what you're trying to say, so first my friend, LEARN PROPER ENGLISH so you can voice your opinion in a manner we can all understand and specially YOU! What do "want to sound same KRONOS" Means!??
So you say... but your grammar or synthesis of words makes as much sense as the stuff you are criticizing which I've read 3-5 times and still makes no sense.
Does it have looping and layering?
Dude... get more informed. Yes it does. Also, it has sequencing and 16 track recording. You're one of those guys who watches one video and asks 100 questions. Also, check out the Roland FA. very similar but more expensive.
What keyboard stand is that? Thanks!
Hercules
Sir Kross2 better or midi keyboard with Mac better?
depends on who you ask, i think PC + MIDI keyboard is boring and less practical, next person may tell you that anything that isn't PC + MIDI 'board is stupid, etc.
I think the key in productions is to be able to utilize both. Many bands use both in production. Some songs might use a Novation Midi Keyboard and the next song might use a live piano, I think utilizing all of the tools available to us will result int he best production, if one serves the song over the other. That being said I'd get a real synthesizer, say a $700-$800 one. Then get a Midi Synth. Now if you've already spent a fortune on software like Logic, Ableton and XLN then maybe the Midi-Synth is what you should get first so you can learn your way around all of the available samples in your software. TLDR: Get both.
If Korg had a clue they would listen to the feedback they get on these videos. So many comments and questions on here and no response from Korg. What gives man? Do you not know how valuable your youtube channel is if you use it properly?
not Korg's channel
Korg responds to email... usually. UA-cam more rarely, that's only a few of the pro audio dealers that are more responsive. They all are the same in preferring not to respond to questions answered by the product manuals, available on Korg's site for free to everyone, as well as questions the employee checking youtube does not know the answers to.
Most big companies don't especially those from the pre social media era it is a gap in the market which can be exploited
What is the problem of tone cutting?
comments that reference this are in regards to the sounds and/or overall tone of the keyboard's samples not seeming 'present' in a mix...usually referencing a live mix since studio work it is easier to isolate tracks and boost frequencies. There are only so many frequencies and without the proper frequencies to 'stick out' an instrument can get lost i.e. hard to discern from other instruments playing similar frequencies. Hope that helps!
when you switch tones, the sound decay of the previous tone cuts off, while this does not happen in Roland keyboards
it's a minor inconvenience if you ask me, not hard to improvise around it, but, say, if you use the sequencer in a Roland synth like Juno-DS or JD-Xi, you can switch between grooves/loops easily and make it sound like one continuous mix with simplicity
Korg krome or korg kross 2 ?
same choice here. kross 2 has useful features but having listened to many demos the krome has a superior sound.
@@MattyS54 this true, I've heard both in person and the Krome is better in plenty of ways, but no step-input drum machine or sample pads, Kross2 wins for me for that, plus can run on batteries while Krome cannot
the titlle of this vidddieoooo hahahahahahahhaah
💥💥
MODX vs KROSS!!!
which only means: "MO' KROSS"!!!
Does it have tone remain
Ian Legg ....it's called SMOOTH SOUND TRANSITION in the Kronos
nope
great
Kind of stumbled that Korg basically gotten nowhere in approximately 20 years, this sounds basically like a Triton did the late 90s- only cheaper like a grand cheaper...
The competing MX and Juno-DS keyboards are using synth engines from the '90s. So what?
This even extends to MODX, Krome, and FA workstations.
I have one of these but you need to be employed by KORG to get these kinds of sounds out of it! The Key clicking is really bad! Otherwise it's not too bad for the low price, I got mine for under £200 lightly used.
Is it suitable for playing live?
TOntoN jI . Yes , it’s good both for live and studio .. korg keyboards are very user friendly ..
@@martinj.a6602 "user friendly"
you mean *_versatile_*
@@Jason75913 for playing live , which one is better and why? Roland JunoDs-61 or Korg Kross 2-61. Play chords , strings , leads and piano solos sometimes.
Licinius Varrus i doubt that’s what they meant. How would you even know? LMAO 😂
@@gearshinji i need the answer too!
Suena como mi w01
Piano sound is wierd in the 4th octave
Aguante nord🤗
Debes estar cagado en guita jajajaj
si tienes más de 2 mil dolares para gastar sin remordimientos pues claro...
Hii Deepak kumar
i think that roland fa-08 is beter
Sure, but it costs $1000 more too!
It is also twice as much. I think the idea with the Kross is that it provides great features for its price range.
The Korg Kross 2 61-key is $749, the Roland FA-06 is $1299. The Kross 2 88 key is $1049, the FA-08 is $1799. The 61 key Roland has way more and higher quality sounds, is not $1000 more.
Only genius can play korg Keyboard....
wut
I like roland
drums sound awful at the start
The piano sounds like a toy
not this machine's strength or focus
No need Playing !!! it's a self‐satisfaction playing !!!!! need the Function description !!!!!
It's a playing demo you fuckface, look at their product demo on another video, they go through all the bells and whistles.
tbh ive heard $200 keyboards sound more realistic
Which 200 dollar keyboard?
@@seandooley8555 maybe he means YPG-235? I don't think it sounds much better if I remember correctly (acoustic pianos only, if that Yamaha is even better at all). Kross2 is far more of an EDM and general production machine than that Yamaha - just in a radically different league, the two really don't compare. Kross2 is drastically better outside of the main acoustic piano patch in a gargantuan variety of ways, probably why it costs several times more.
Guitar sounds cheap
You sound dumb
I think sound cheap... Remember my first triton, i sold it one hour after buy... What a shock... I remember the Trinity sound and i'm horrified when i use the Triton first time... Trinity rules...
Wow, with the exception of some of the piano demos, that sounds absolutely awful. I'm sorry, but that is an objectively poor sample set when it comes to actual instruments. Korg's hometown is synthesis, and it really shows here; especially compared to the MX88, which is actually CHEAPER than the Kross II (88-key vs. 88-key). I'm not a fanboy, but there's a clear winner at this price range, and it sure as hell ain't the Kross.
Yeah, the clear winner is the Juno-DS88 by far, unless you want to do EDM, then Kross2 wins hard.
Horrible sounds, horrible player. I don`t like it at all.
LMAO
How dare you diss my boy Frank
boring ;-/
UPLOAD YOUR OWN VIDEO AND THEN WE'LL TELL YOU WHAT'S BORING...
so sad,sound plastic
24 DON'T LIKE IT, BORING!!!!!!
omg .......... Not need the complacent playing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
