I want to thank you for the great demonstration on this instrument. I plan on buying one of these and I'd like to say something to all the uninformed critics here. I doubt you know much about anything and it is your insecurities and lack of talent that make you strike out at people who actually have talent. It's one thing to run your mouth from a self created podium where you stand out as the incompetent fool that you are and another thing to remain quiet and let your abilities speak for you. No one ever improved themselves by tearing someone else down. So many experts who don't know what they are talking about.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, respect that. You don't have to be a Maestro to appreciate or dislike music, just a listener. I say this as a Maestro of music 😁👍🎵🎼🎶🎙🎸🎹🎤🥁🎺🎻📯 Peace and harmony
Thanks for the great demo! I like the no talking and all playing format. I think the Kross would be a great upgrade from a beginners synth. 30 years ago ny first keyboard was a Casio and although I had fun with it I didn't know how crappy it was until I upgraded to a moderately expensive Yamaha that didn't have onboard speakers. Please note: I'm not hating on Casio keyboards, they have improved over the years and they can't be beat as a beginners first keyboard in terms of cost and duribility. But like the Casio there are upgrades to the Kross that offer more in the way of features and sound capabilities. The Kross is nice but if you're a serious player thinking about buying one and you're on a not so tight budget, for a few hundred dollars more, I'd get the Krome.
I have a Krome along with a MOXf. But I also bought a CASIO MZX-500. They are finally trying to break back in the professional market again since the eighties. It's no toy by any standard although I hate the keybed on it. It's a really powerful workstation sampler. I use it in production along with the others and it more than holds it's own. But I also know what you're talking about. Aside from the CZ-101 and FZ-1 from the eighties. I hated Casio keyboards.
Nice sounding instrument - I presume these are all the presets. Lots of great electric piano tones.... I do wish Korg had not gone away from the joystick that used to offer back in the 80s though. I much preferred it for mod and pitch bend.
MR. DEMO GUY, COULD YOU PLEASE, KINDLY TELL US WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE MELODY YOU'VE PLAYED FROM 04:24 UP TO 06:19 ? IS IT YOURS? PLEASE TELL US!!! IT IS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL!!! THANKS
Something doesn’t seem right here .. maybe the amplification ? Or the eq .. ? Ive heard someone play this live .. This keyboards sounds even more good .
depends on amping, speakers, how the presets have been reworked by the individual (most factory patches across all synth keyboards benefit from tweaking anyway), and internal/external effects and whatever else
All I want is a synthesizer focused Synth - WITHOUT WIEGHTED KEYS. Seems hard to find these days, I'm thinking about just replacing my old Korg X5D because I don't like the new keyboards. Would you recommend this for my situation? Or could you point me in the right direction? It would be greatly appreciated!
the keybed on Kross2-61 is extra light and flimsy, barely "weighted" Kross2 can be as synthesizer focused as you want. FA-06 has the edge by far, though, in all manner of ways.
Could replace my current microstation. But that said listening to it I think its a (cross)Kross of a few Korg workstation synths like a bit of M3 , Electribe, Triton and R3 in there.
If Korg had a clue they would listen to the feedback they get on these videos. So many comments and questions on here and no response from Korg. What gives man? Do you not know how valuable your youtube channel is if you use it properly?
not Korg's channel Korg responds to email... usually. UA-cam more rarely, that's only a few of the pro audio dealers that are more responsive. They all are the same in preferring not to respond to questions answered by the product manuals, available on Korg's site for free to everyone, as well as questions the employee checking youtube does not know the answers to.
Is a synth like this ok to learn piano ??? I would like to learn piano, but like with every instrument I try,. it matters much for me how it sounds. Sure, i could probably do with a cheap keyboard to learn basic piano. But they usually sound (for me) like I dont really wanna learn. So for me, as maybe unimportant it maybe in the beginning, but how it sounds is rather important to me. Otherwise I would loose interest very quick. Was the same for me with guitar. So, would it better be with a Synth like this, or rather a midi controller keyboard, where i get all the sounds through a DAW ? And how many keys should it be for beginning to learn piano ? 61, 76, 88 ?
If you wanna learn piano, i don't recomend this sinth, because it doesn't have incorporated speakers, so you May buy external speakers or maybe some hq headphones
Kind of stumbled that Korg basically gotten nowhere in approximately 20 years, this sounds basically like a Triton did the late 90s- only cheaper like a grand cheaper...
depends on who you ask, i think PC + MIDI keyboard is boring and less practical, next person may tell you that anything that isn't PC + MIDI 'board is stupid, etc.
I think the key in productions is to be able to utilize both. Many bands use both in production. Some songs might use a Novation Midi Keyboard and the next song might use a live piano, I think utilizing all of the tools available to us will result int he best production, if one serves the song over the other. That being said I'd get a real synthesizer, say a $700-$800 one. Then get a Midi Synth. Now if you've already spent a fortune on software like Logic, Ableton and XLN then maybe the Midi-Synth is what you should get first so you can learn your way around all of the available samples in your software. TLDR: Get both.
