Gordon Murray reveals the secrets to his new 663bhp T50 supercar. Better than the McLaren F1?

  • Gordon Murray takes me round the GMA T.50 and explains why he decided to launch this new supercar now, which he sees as the rightful successor to the mighty McLaren F1. With a bespoke 3.9litre Cosworth V12 that pumps out 663bhp at an incredible 11,500rpm and weighing only 986kg at the kerb, performance is going to be astonishing. Yet there's enough luggage space to make this a usable GT. The T.50 looks to be a truly amazing new supercar..

John Simard That’s got nothing to do with car driving. Just like F1 is the pinnacle of motor sports, light cars with ultimate handling capabilities is the pinnacle of sports cars. Straight line performance is of inferior importance. That said, I have no doubt that this car will crush Tesla’s 10.5-10.4 quartermile time. The McLaren P1 does the quartermile in 9.8, and this will almost certainly be faster than that.

This use to be called constructive criticism now you are just a stupid hater... Sure some people do ignorantly hate on everything because it's their nature but it turned to this where everyone who says even one word is a hater. That is their only argument. The most common "stop being a salty hater" or recently just "you're salty". It's really pathetic. This is why we have all these political social justice agendas and other similar crap. Mentally ill people parading their toxic shit on the streets that's all ok, they do something bad and someone calls them out for it they pull a victim card. You're racist, homophobe and bunch of other shit. While if someone who works their ass off and pays the bills, pays tax and with it funds these clowns parading their agendas, if this working person gets sick, shot or whatever then who gives a shit, let him die. It use to be different now it's if you are an incompetent degenerate idiot you are most likely glorified, protected and funded while if you are normal you are relevant as a spec of dust.

Gordon himself is a breath of fresh air. What appears to be arrogance is simply professional passion. He has that thing about him where he would actually tell you you're wrong when you doubt him. Unlike McLaren, ferrari, etc who will send out some robot to put on a lil show at a conference. I could see Gordon Murray arguing with anyone, regardless of what it costs him. it reminds me of how you'd hear about actual passion. Simply a "I built a car, it's better than yours" attitude.
