@@IcyLife3956 A number of things, a American patriot gimmick leaves a bad tastes in many mouths these days, his babyface run is wearing thin for many of us, his comments on social media reflecting that he will never be a heel again. Fans really don't like being told what to feel and AEW fans in particular are not on board for that.
I hope you're right. Right now I'm worried Cody is trying to force this gimmick on the fans for the sake of his future political career. Play the patriot so he looks better when he shows up on the ballot type thing.

That entrance was something to see. And Black wasn't intimidated in the least and even laughed when Brandi sat like him and did the double middle finger. *The House of Black* stood tall in the end.

I wonder if that can happen though and not mess with his tv career outside wrestling. I can see the sacrificing Arn to get a win (and hopefully dumping him) and then the fans don’t appreciate me speech and do everything he can to get boos. It’s sad he will never wrestle for the AEW championship again we need a badass heel champ run not a cartoon like Omega currently. The whole miro has a soft head thing ruins his chances of being champ to me otherwise he’d be great.

They want to be heels or faces whenever they feel like, even if it doesn't make sense from a story perspective because their stories are meant to be unconventional. They actually want to be heels who get cheered.

The crowd booing the hell out of Cody Rhodes is a red alert to AEW. I feel bad for him to get tremendous boos after all he did for this company. He could have easily become the World Champion which, tbh, he deserved rightfully but he put over guys like Darby Allin and gave a masterpiece with his brother Dustin Rhodes in 2019. Still, being booed is sad. Maybe a little character change is necessary now.

Two years ago Cody was one of the best babyfaces in wrestling. His reunion with his brother, the "I went from undesirable to un-freaking-deniable" promo and the 10 lashes segment were iconic. What happened.
