  • This is my 2007 Honda Civic Si when it was bone stock for a base time before my mods I added to it. In sears point, Sonoma CA. With a head wind as well and also it being my first time to the track ( Second run ever at a legit track) I ran a 15.29 1/4mile. Completely stock but the passenger seat and spare were removed.
    Was filmed with a GoPro Hero3+ Black edition.

    I saw the video was two minutes long and thought that was your quarter mile time.

    in vids I posted my old b20 ej8, I have a 08 mugen. have not gone to the track yet but it feels much faster. my b20 pulled a 15.1 with spare tire, ac, power steering and all. my track sucks too. super slippery.

    • @fordfiveohh
      @fordfiveohh 9 років тому +11

      No need. It's a simple concept - shift at the redline so that when you grab the next gear you don't shift bog. It's especially important in small engines because of the torque curve. Also you want to get the most out of the lower gears that you can - especially with a small engine, because the gears are multiplying the torque output ... Again , this is important because torque is low on small engines.

      I used to have an integra actually. It's almost the same car.. The torque curve was so hard on that thing that the tires could spin AFTER you were already moving in the first gear if you didn't pop the clutch and spin the tires straight away.

      @@fordfiveohh you know a lot of times red line is not the best right it depends on the torque curve

      Soon. So far it has a Hybrid Racing CAI, J35 TB installed along with a Skunk2 Alpha Race Header I havent installed yet. Need to order Hondata Flashpro, its running extremely lean right now from those mods and the idle is horrible. I will post a walk around for you guys shortly.
