My name is nahou nabaou-chad. I lived in Australia from 2008-2017. I falled in love with Australian v8 and exported 1 x Holden SSV redline with walkinshaw pack in phantom black. I installed w375 package and financed the whole car plus the walkinshaw package. The car was sent to Uganda in Africa which is my home when my visa ran out. The best part is the bank gave me finance (Holden finance) through Suttons is Homebush NSW which I made one payment for $1395 and didn’t pay the rest of the loan because I was going back to Africa. Good deal I have an SSV redline with W375 for $1395 aud. I’m so happy Cheers from Uganda mate
That sounds fantastic. And a proper manual gearbox, too. Wonder if Walkinshaw would ship their kit to the US for an enthusiast with the “Chevrolet SS”. Would be neat to have an Aussie-tuned setup for this car. Plenty of American tuners can wick up the LS3, but it would be very rare here to have genuine Walkinshaw parts on a Commodore.
I had the W375 upgrade done before I took delivery of the car so I can't tell what it was like standard. what I can tell you is that it has the potential to chew a lot of premium 98 fuel. I averaged 16L/100km for the first week but this week I have it down to just under 13L/100km. I will put a video up of the sound while driving in the next couple of days. it sounds amazing and is rather quick for a large car.
one of my favourite vids so far.. sound is supreme.. i have a standard 2013 SS and hope to get this sort of sound also from the W310 setup.. welll done, awesome.
Matt Dang I know. They really goofed when it came to advertising these. Zero advertisement, no one knew about them everyone thought they were just malibus or impalas. It could have been great competition against the chargers and Taurus Sho.
Matt Dang They only kept the order window open each year til they had roughly 3000 orders. No cars were built for “inventory”, every single one was ordered by a customer (like me), or ordered by a dealership with an allotment on their own dime at their own risk. The Chevrolet SS ended because before it ever came over here, GM had planned to shutter the Holden plant. And they’re not solely to blame. Toyota and Ford also both pulled out of Australian manufacturing, and one car plant is not enough to sustain the local parts supply chain. Just be glad we got the few thousand that we did here in the US. It was never intended to be a volume seller. It was brought over by some dedicated enthusiasts at GM for enthusiast buyers who were paying attention. So, money where mouth is, I ordered and bought a manual example in 2016. Well... I ordered it in late 2015 and waited 7 months for it to arrive. But it was worth it.
When you say 295 to the wheels are you talking about KW or HP? If you're talking KW that's really nice but if you're talking about HP I would highly recommend going somewhere else and getting it retuned if you haven't done more things to it already by now
Looking for one now actually. Would like to know more about fuel efficiency from an owners point of view rather than Holden themselves. Not sure on either W375 or W407 spec. Love the black on white look as well. Clean, clean, clean....
I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that a 6.2L 8 probably shouldnt be on your list if economy is your concern ;-) Economical they aint! (well, unless your driving is rural/highway - then theyre fine (ish - 9l/100). Urban and they drink like a fish! (16-24 depending on tune). Ive found the solution to be quite simple however, just dont look at the economy gauge and everything is peachy :-)
Throw on a DPE exhaust(It's who Walkinshaw use for all exhausts ) and block the sound enhancer(sounds like shit anyway) and you still have your bi-models. It's what i did with my VF2 Motorsport.
Yeah the walky stuff is all DPE with walky stamps. Like many people that bought this upgrade, I was worried about warranty. The sound enhancer gets disconnected when this upgrade is done as the headers are different. I just got a cam put in, picked it up yesterday. It's the sound I have always wanted without the drone of a 3" I now have 341Kw at the wheels. 😁
Hey mate I've got one of these, can you honestly say the new exhaust is better over the standard ? I can't justify taking it off for the price Walkinshaw want when it sounds so good from the factory floor. Even Walkinshaw said the stock ones sound really good, don't know wether to just bolt up some headers and cats to the stock system.
I think the extra 71kw and the much louder exhaust sound, made it worth it. You can do it a little cheaper by sourcing the parts individually. You can also personalise it to suit yourself by doing it this way.
Hi mate, your w375 is that without the cam upgrade? just wanna see because I’m getting mine done with the w375 same year as yours Mine SS base model, for my liking I really like this it has really nice tone to it.
In this video I only had the W375 upgrade done. Now I have a cam as well. There is another video on here that I put up after I had the cam installed. You will be very happy with the W375 pack though.
@@LomLom79 thank you for getting back me. I’m sold on it, I’m looking forward to getting this done, mine auto in white too I’ll check out your other vid.
This is a ls3 right? pretty stumped by the power or lack thereof. Ive got the vf clubby which is the standard ls3 and it made 350 rwhp stock, with OTR and tune it made 420 rwhp, standard bi module exhaust and nothing else done.. hows yours only making 300ish? or are you talking rwkw? also hope youve lowered it atleast a little by now =D none the less it sounds nice
Hi mate Sounds awesome. I would like to know if you ever had any drone in the cabin since you got the 3inch put in? I've been told 2.5inch is the way to go if don't want drone noise in cabin. Thanks
Even though the hp is more the throttle response is worse.Ive driven a dozen of them they are all the same in that regard. The long tube headers and three in exhaust is too big and robs low down power and no one wants listen.I have a friend who has shorty tri y headers standard cats and exhause otr and tune 3.9 gears in manual and none of these cars will catch it.And its only a 6.0
Yeah walkin for sure I call it. Systems are also way to quiet mufflers are all baffled dude unfortunately you have spent money where you have to spend it again

Yes I can pick up the sound quality and it's glorious!! And you sir, specifying a manual, are a legend 👏 🏆

LomLom79 تكغى اعطيني فيها لفة
LomLom79 we did 21L/100km in a hsv 30th clubsport
If you put bigger rims on the car it would give a wrong reading on your odometer
Everyone goes through more fuel in the first week mate it's a V8 thing haha love it!
That is a nice car. After receiving my 2017 chevy ss in white, I'll be converting it to holden badges asap.
Thats cool. The tossers here in Aus put Chev badges on their Holdens

had to wipe the drool from my chin. love that sound
Sounds sweet I've only got the redline series 1 with the w310 package and I'm quite impressed with that you can't go wrong with walkinshaw
your redline wasnt a silver wagon was it by chance? i just bought a redline wagon with the 310 on it.
"Now I've changed the exhaust, I don't think it makes much sense to worry about the old exhaust anymore"...
Wise words
nice car mate looks and sounds mint!
Wow she sounds amazing :)
Lovely!! I just adore my redline 😍
I have a 2015 SSV which has been to Tekno, has the Suoercharger and XForce Exhaust, mine still has the bimodal feature
It sounds good! I need headers for my exhaust haha.
That’s a very nice bus you’ve got there mate. Well done.
A great looking car.
sounds great man
I'm jealous...we need cool cars like that in US
We do...the Chevy SS, except they're discontinuing it because no one bought them.

Thinking about a 407 package for my director, but I do love the crackling exhaust and snarl it has as standard
Deane Dussault you would love the 407 pack. Do it.
I’ve done it to my director it sounds even more awesome than before 👍
sounds wicked nice
Fuck that sounds nice.
Awesome! Best colour combo very nice. Can I ask.. What's the fuel economy like with the W375? Change much from standard?
Sounds so bad-arse mate. Hanging out to get this in wagon form with the W375...
Very nice! Has it still got the original cam or a bigger cam? Do you know how much it would cost just to do the full exhaust cat back and headers?
Sweet ride

Nice car good fit for Adelaide
what a beast.
Car looks great.Wheels suit it well.Is this a ss or Ssv?
Ssv
looks nice all you need to do is get some lower springs looks like its ready to go off road

i would say calculate for about 12.5 on average. There really isnt much difference with W375 and stock in terms of fuel consumption, at least for me.
I wonder what it would sound like with the sound enhancer retro fitted to the w375
Very nice bro

Gday - Very Nice - mit look at doing mine as well - Hey quick question what type and percent % are you tinted windows
Hood?? it's a bonnet in Aus.
your just mad cos u dont have one mate :)
Also, is induction noise as loud now the sound enhancer has been taken off ? Or is Walkinshaws induction more quieter ?

I have a 2.5" in mine for that very reason. I am about to get a cam put in it.
Why only 295kw wouldn’t it be doing closer to 350kw after the tune n upgrades
It had 375kw at the flywheel at that stage. Now that I have a cam upgrade it has roughly 430kw at the flywheel. It puts out 341rwkw.
Nice motor
Do these go harder with w375 package
neverd1e much harder!
Hey mate did you order the grill surrounds in black from the dealer or did you just get them done after?
From the dealer.
Is the W375 difference from stock as far as power that noticeable mate?
It went from around 254rwkw to 295rwkw
Price to do that. I have the same car but with bigger spoiler and 20 inch rims.
Mike Janson $6700
LomLom79 6700? Bullshit?
102nds it's about $97 per kw
What does 375 mean ?
GregNoToast that’s the name of the upgrade and the expected kilowatt power output after installation.
hey mate. how much for the W375 upgrade?
It”lol cost u around 6k mate

Put the stock bimodal mufflers on it
What do you do for a living may i ask ?
Who cares!
Was it worth the 5k mate
How much fuel does it use?
If you are concerned about fuel buy a 4 cylinder
how much for this beautiful car! I just want one.
about 56k plus the walkinshaw pack
Thank you!
Don’t get it mate. I love the sound of a V8. I’ve got a 15 VF Sports wagon. 6lt.With out any mods I’m still
Gettimf heaps of power
Where did you source the blackout parts for the chrome accents
Google JHP Vehicle Enhancements, they are located in Blackburn VIC.
All you need now is new suspension and decent brakes! And better rims!!
What are the rims ?
CGF SHOOTER king rims.
how come no red brembo brakes
Not a Redline
Also no sunroof. Good pickup brad
It's an SS. Noticed the missing lane departure and front impact warning buttnext to the cruise control. My SS was stolen so know it well.
Wonder what the cost of this package is
It's around $6000.
Yeah walkin for sure I call it. Systems are also way to quiet mufflers are all baffled dude unfortunately you have spent money where you have to spend it again
Anyone know what wheels these are?
James Potter Holden SS
Why your car doesnt have Brembo brakes on it. I know all VF SSV are fitted with Brembo brakes.
Johnny Hohenzollern only the redline has brembos.
Oh yea australia get the good chevys
Not Chevy, Holden.
Bi modal sounds better
Mate your losing 80 kws from engine to the back wheels that's not Wright 50 to 55 kW max with a manual
Slow land boat
Pretty poor numbers for the mods and money spent on such a big V8,no wonder the turbo 6 in the falcon is such a hit
Always someone supporting ford isn’t there 😂 appreciate the car and reserve your negative bullshit for somewhere else
So near 400 rwhp for an exhaust and tune and I take is poor numbers naturally aspirated. You are kidding right?
Probably doesn’t even drive a Ford either
nice car
