Even though I’m not interested in buying next pair of skates I feel like everything you say is very interesting and I just like hearing you’re voice💁♀️🧡
I just got some of these at interskate! I was looking at a few options but found a gently used pair on discount and picked them up. I’m really excited to start learning!!
For some reason my Candi girl skates came with very hard indoor wheels, which was disappointing when I specifically bought them for outdoor skating.. I ended up having to buy 50$ worth of new outdoor wheels and a skate tool. I love the boot itself, very comfortable, but the wheels were very disappointing.
The Candi Girls have 2 models. *Candi Girl Sabina - Indoor Model:* Black with light blue wheels/stops Medium/light blue with purple wheels and stops Pink with blue stops and pink and yellow wheels White with pink wheels and stops Black with black wheels and stops *Candi Girl Carlin - Outdoor Model:* Electric/Royal Blue boot, wheels, and stops Periwinkle (light purple) with yellow wheels/stops Seafoam boot, wheels and stops Raspberry (pink-ish/purple) with light blue wheels/stops So, either you weren't paying attention to, or didn't know, which model you ordered or - IF it was a third party seller - they switched the wheels on you. (Third party sellers switch wheels A LOT with all of the Moxi brand skates, too, unfortunately.)
@@psg6065 They're not bad wheels if you get the right ones for what you're doing. Also most skates don't have padding on the tongue. With a GOOD skate, tongue padding isn't needed.
Would you say they feel heavy? Or are they light weight?👀...on the description of the skates they say it has a aluminum plate (I think that's the word they used lol)...but I would like to know if they feel heavy or lightweight 👀...I used to have some sketchers roller skates and they had metal plates so it was really heavy and difficult for me to maneuver/control😅😭...but I wonder if the aluminum on the candi skates are more lighter and easy to control and move☺️...thanks for sharing your review 👍🏼 . . . . . Edit: I purchased this skates and I love them!!😍😍💯💯 they are really good quality and not heavy at all, they feel really nice and they look like a real professional roller skates😊👍🏼💯....I got mine size 11 (women size) and they fit perfectly with a little room on the front (the way I wanted them💯👍🏼)...the heel has lots of support, however you need to break them in (easily done by roller skating with them😉🤙🏻)..the color is beautiful and the feel of the boot is almost suede/leather like, nice quality and the wheels are actually nice💯👍🏼 they don't feel plastic-y...overall, I'm in love with this skates! Highly recommend them💯💯💯👍🏼🤙🏻💃🏻
Kaci Bell thank you for your reply 😊👍🏼 I've never tried the moxi skates before...but from the videos I've seen so far about the candi skates, the candi skates seem to be quite nice and fairly lightweight 😊👍🏼thank you, just wanted to be sure 😉
I bought these and overall they’ve worked out. Pros: pricing, wheels, cuteness, lined back at the top of the skate Cons: stiff boot that’s uncomfortable, tongue bunches when laced, not much cushioning
Hair Me Roar yes yes yes! I loved them for learning to skate and getting my balance together, but for advancement and doing other things, I did end up upgrading!
Kaci Bell I upgraded too. I’m now the proud owner of the classic black Moxi Lolly’s and man what a difference! But I’ll always love them for being my intro into skating.
Kaci Bell can’t beat that classic black look! The red Lolly’s will be next, but I have to earn them by getting comfortable in my turns and backwards skating.
Look up the Riedell Model 336 Tribute - the metal piece on the tongue? That is called a tongue stabilizer. Get to your nearest home improvement store. Look in their "Cabinet Fixtures" section. Bigger hobby stores may also have them (look in their wood or dollhouse section). You can find VERY similar products that you can use for the same purpose. You will have to measure, though. Install the cabinet fixture about 2 inches "down" from the top of the tongue. Measure it out, be sure it's in the middle, but a good pair of (sharp!) scissors and a small washer should be all you need to do it. The whole project costs around $3-$20 depending on what style/color of cabinet fixture you use. Brass is cheap, but tarnishes easily if you skate outdoors. A good plated metal (gold or silver) is fine for indoor or outdoor use. They are also available in steel, sterling silver, and 14K gold as well...not needed, but definitely more durable for outdoor skating.
omg omg thank you soooo much for your video. i really want to learn how to rollerskate and i am looking for skates that will be durable. i was originally planning to buy the moxi beach bunnys but they are sold out everywhere and i really want to start learning as soon as possible. because of your video, i think I'll get candi skates as my first pair! thank you so much for your tips and advice!
filledejosie I would try a size up and wear thick socks? You don’t want to get too small and cut off your circulation. But, then again if the bigger size doesn’t fit you can always return and exchange for a different size!
I have the exact same skates and I'm a beginner. I had a problem with the tongue of the boot. The left one doesn't adjust when I tie them up, it folds and dig into my foot. I've tried taking the laces all the way down, re-doing them but still irritates me.
What wheels do you have on these currently? Are they good for outdoor skating, we have rough roads in some areas so I don’t want the softer wheels to get torn up
Teila Thommen the wheels in the video are Sonar Demon EDM wheels, 95A, definitely NOT good for outdoors. These are indoor wheels. For outside I would recommend the Radar Energy wheels!
For exceptionally rough roads, go to a 70A skateboard wheel. Just don't forget to order 2 packs. A lot of roller skate wheels are often sold in 4-packs, but many can also be found in 8-packs. Skateboard wheels ONLY come in 4-packs. Just be sure the wheel you choose will fit your skate without wheel bite.
No. They are very very firm like there is some kind of board under the suede. I'm thinking of returning them if blow drying and thick socks don't work.
I don’t think you would fit in them because the lowest size is a 3 in women’s :( sorry Also I checked out your channel and I will guess your foot is still growing so once you get to a size 4
That depends on your age. A size 1 in "women's" will typically fit a 7-9 year old.//Size 2 = 8-10 year old. Size 5 is actually a women's size...before then, they are considered "youth" sizes, even if the say "Women's" or "Men's". If you're a size 2 YOUTH (that is, NOT a size 2 TODDLER), a size 2 Candi Girl should fit you.
Seems like a much more positive review than the ones I’ve seen for Impala skates. Do you have any experience with them to compare as far as beginners go?
This was a lot of help because I want to buy cheap skates so I was looking at candi girl ones so on went on this video and I thought they were moxi skates but then I relished it was just you name so you are meant to be a skater it says it in your name
I would suggest changing out the wheels for skating indoors. The stock wheels are very large and gummy, made for outdoors. They’re not horrible indoors but they will be noticeably slow.
can anybody help me figure out my USA size? i'm mexican, my normal shoe size is 24, sometimes 24.5, it depends. my feet are large and skinny pls pls pls help me out here, i really want to buy this model
Just ordered these this morning for Amazon same-day delivery. Haven't skated since high school, but I'm jazzed to start up again. Great video!
Yay! I’m happy for you! I hope you have a great and safe time! 👍🏾
I was so excited when u said that the original wheels where gummy!! 😂
lilari 08 yes they are! I really liked that about them.
Kaci Bell 😃😃❤️
i had to pause before finishing - you’re so cute !
taco belly bee 🙊🙈 thank you!

it’s pretty obvious when you look at the picture you can see which has hard wheels and which has gummy wheels
$100 and bad wheels
And no padding on the tongue sounds lame o to me...
are they sabinas or carlin’s? you can tell because the carlin’s are suede on the outside
@@psg6065 They're not bad wheels if you get the right ones for what you're doing.

This is the best in depth review that I’ve seen so far. Thank you!!!
Haha yay! I’m so glad 😇
So I'm currently getting into skating and its funny cuz I found some of these for $80 and wanted some o can use for a while so I'm super excited!
thank you for this video girl ! i dont know how to rollerskate at all but i'm saving up to buy some candigirl skates :) !

Came for the wig, stayed for the skates....
but I would still like to know where that wig is from :)
Riot Johnson it’s from Divatress!
Thank you!
I’m about to buy my skates from that same shop
getting my first pair of skates and im worried im getting the wrong skates, but this rlly helped so thanks! xx
Omg!! I met rollertravisdnolds! I was cruising On the woodlands waterway and we ran into each other. Both. Pumped to see rollerskates
So helpful! Thank you!! Just ordered a pair 💕
What toestop is that? I've heard the original toestop on the skates are harder and yours looks more gummy
Lens826 I got mine from my local skate shop. I didn’t even buy them - he gave them to me for free because he found them out of the box 🤷🏾♀️
i’m a 7 1/2 usually sometimes 8 but i don’t know if i should size up or down with these skates?
filledejosie I would try a size up and wear thick socks? You don’t want to get too small and cut off your circulation. But, then again if the bigger size doesn’t fit you can always return and exchange for a different size!
Kaci Bell okay thank you!
For me I sized up one just so I have room to grow in but if your foot isn’t growing I think you should get your size unless your foot is wide
i half sized down fits perfectly
I love Interskate Skate Shop! They mounted Avanti plates on my Moxi Lollys
I want them but they seem to only come up to a size 10 and I’m 11 😭😭😭
Cool I really wanted to know if I could change the wheels on these thats good to know. Thanks
Lainie Bae yeesssss you can! 🧡🧡
You can change the wheels on ANY skate! Well..unless it's a cheap, plastic, child's toy, of course.
Just ordered these, wondering where you got your wheels? they look super cool
I got these online! These are the Sonar Zen wheels!
I have the exact same skates and I'm a beginner. I had a problem with the tongue of the boot. The left one doesn't adjust when I tie them up, it folds and dig into my foot. I've tried taking the laces all the way down, re-doing them but still irritates me.

Where did you buy your replacement wheels and is the size true, or should I go a size down like at the rink?
What part of Dallas are you from? I live in Dallas myself. I just mine they will be here tomorrow I'm so excited!
damara caston I’m currently between Addison and Vickery Park (:
Nice! I'm Oak cliff wynnwood area! Thanks for the reply your awesome!
Are these skates good for wide feet?
Adriana’s Art honestly girl, not really :\ I don’t have wide feet and they fit snug.
No. They are very very firm like there is some kind of board under the suede. I'm thinking of returning them if blow drying and thick socks don't work.
Amanda Pratt did you end up keeping them?
JayNK56 I still have them! I use them as my extra pair for friends who come over and want to skate (:
I'm a size 2 in kids and I am gonna get candi girl skates but will they have my size cause I heard you say it's only in women's?
I don’t think you would fit in them because the lowest size is a 3 in women’s :( sorry

@Tayla My foot has grown since then and now I'm a 7 in womens but thanks!
If I’m usually a 71/2 in most women’s shoes should I get a 7 or an 8
Tiana Davis I don’t know if you got them already but 8
Don’t know how I ended up on this vid but I’m glad I did, your seriously gorgeous :)
Thank you so much!
Thank you for this!

I don’t have any experience with Impala. I do not support their brand.
@@MyelinMoxi oh why don’t you? I’m just curious
Hello, should I get these or Rio signature skates as beginner? For skating outdoors thanks x
Hey! Honestly it’s a preference. I’ve never tried Rio but if they work for you, great! Skates are skates, my friend 😊
does anyone know where to buy these in the uk??
This was a lot of help because I want to buy cheap skates so I was looking at candi girl ones so on went on this video and I thought they were moxi skates but then I relished it was just you name so you are meant to be a skater it says it in your name

GypsetCity thank you girl! More coming soon 😬🧡
Hi..
Which brand toe stop is that? If u can remember lol x
I got these for free at my local skate shop - he had some extra ones lying around and just popped them on for me. I have no idea, sorry love!
can anybody help me figure out my USA size? i'm mexican, my normal shoe size is 24, sometimes 24.5, it depends. my feet are large and skinny
pls pls pls help me out here, i really want to buy this model
i hate them damn rocks and sticks made me mad its very dangerous ..i was so blessed to find a size 4 and it fit perfect
What is your normal size in shoes?
Anybody have any problems with sizing?
I got the same onessss
Yay! How do you like them??
The Candi girl skate is very uncomfortable not made for wide feet.
I agree. But they are a good skate on a budget :)
❤❤❤
you are so pure and beautiful. I love this
New sub :) Hi honey!
Thank you so much! Welcome!
