Impressive, but sometimes, less is more. Me and the wife are downsizing and going back to the basics with an older non-slide trailer. Tired of holding my breath every time we are ready to leave and press the slide in button. One piece aluminum roof. Smaller windows that don't transmit as much heat and cold. We sit outside most of the time. I really dislike scrolling thru a menu to turn on lights. Switches worked great for the last one hundred years.
I have a condo, and plan on moving after retirement, what you get for $300k is 💩 you wouldn’t want to live in. I’m considering land and a destination trailer for retirement.
The one thing about Riverstone is they have 3.25” walls. All of the Riverstone line have 3.25” walls much better than almost any of the other RV manufacturers.
@@lindsayheywood7195 I don’t have a porch, or even a rug for my trailer. I tend to bring mostly sand inside and have to sweep it out. I have been looking at private campgrounds and many of the trailers have a permanent porch so when they open the trailer door they are on a deck. Since my area is often rainy for part of the year I see the attraction rather than go right from the ground to inside. I used to tent camp and have only lately decided camping needs a comfortable bed and nearby bathroom. I see the appeal of bringing the entire house along, but I haven’t done it or plan to yet
I'd be happy if they concentrated on quality. RV's are stapled and glued together from material more like cardboard than wood. The roofs are terrible. Some frames are suspect. Trailers could save a lot of gas and truck wear if they were more aerodynamic.
Some really amazing things being tried! A re-locating interior wall slide? It's an amazing time for new concepts, then we'll see which ones stick and which ones just fizzle or have short or long-time reliability issues. Quality is still such a concern. Great info! Thanks
These are all fine and good but the betrayal by the manufacturers where warranty and service are concerned is simply inexcusable! Leaving customers to repair trailers right off the lot is disgusting.
I see people out camping an enjoying nature; these big units are beautiful. However to classify them as recreation vehicle ?? We do recreation outside an we see these luxury units as very nice. But the main part of camping enjoying nature an relaxing is outside not inside. The time to setup an take down is WORK ,and its a lot of Work an skill to tow one down the road. We are sure there is a market for these but where i don't know. VERY GOOD FAIR VIDEO. Keep up the videos my wife an i enjoy everyone.
Hey guys, as usual, love the video. Now, do I believe RV assembly companies listen to their customers? I would say most don't but there "may" be a few exceptions but generally, I do not believe this is the case. They, like Grand Design does not listen to customers when they have major issues with their RV (frame failure) so why should they listen to them about needed changes. More customers need to start learning and ask about the structure before the interior items. The RV industry in Indiana itself has failed the RV community and you can only put lipstick on a pig so long before people decide to turn it into bacon. Pete
Love the Chill Cube in our Brinkley, waiting for the Chill Cube Low Profile to install in the bedroom. P.O. Ready to go!! We run both a/cs on our solar 24/12v system. The standard Chill A/C is a pig but usable till Chill Cube LP comes out
I like the idea of making a class A coach a plug in hybrid. 150 miles on electric could be all some people need for a day, but it would also make a good Boondocking unit. I know Mercedes and Fiat/Ram have introduced vans with 250-270 miles of range, but I haven’t seen any RV companies convert them yet. I’m curious about campgrounds, since when EV pickups started appearing, some places introduced no charging rules. Now with Class A electric vehicles starting to appear will they stick to no charging, or upgrade their electric systems? I know one campground that is upgrading their electric grid since there are a lot of EV cars bringing trailers and tents from the nearby cities. One pickup I have been interested in has a 14-30 plug in the bed that could be adapted to a TT-30 that my trailer can use, then the truck itself could plug into the campground’s 14-50 outlet. I will be following the Thor/Harbinger effort to see if they have a floor plan and price point that works for me. If they made a Coachmen Euro 25LE clone with the 37”x38” gear garage, but PHEV instead of V8 gas, they would have a sale up to a certain price. I like the Thor Axis/Vegas line, but I was in a 25.7 today and it had issues with quality and that was the only floor plan with an almost good enough gear storage
Some interesting things for sure & your delivery and editing made this easy to follow along. We have sworn off the traditional stick built trailer after our last unit. Once we discovered the world of molded fiberglass camper like Bigfoot, Olivier, escape, casita, scamp. We have never looked back, I know everyone’s needs are different. We have enjoyed our Casita for 3 years now & ready to plunge into the Bigfoot world. Keep up the good stuff!
Note to the RV industry. The tiny house phenomenon is over. At best what you’re building now as destination trailers will end up in parking lot near homeless shelters.
Wow, Jason! You do so much homework to bring so much industry information. It's very much appreciated. I really hadn't known about destination trailers at all. Still sticking to the pop-up! Love you guys.
Can I get the side patio on one of Forest River’s destination fifth wheel aftermarket? I just purchased the Roost 43 which has the absolute best layout. But I’ve hit a wall looking for outdoor living space ie deck.
I'd love to know YOUR thoughts on these new designs in the comments!

My slides do cause me some anxiety too
Instead of spending the money those companies put into the "newest trends", they should be trying to improve the QUALITY of their rv's. Just sayin'.

We have had so so many problems with our 2023 Newmar Dutch Star -We won’t ever buy another RV -Just junk -I don’t care who makes it 🤯⭐️
I don't understand why people need porches on an RV. Can't you just sit outside on the campsite? Under an awning if it's raining.
A porch gets you away from the dirt, but I would just build a porch and park the RV next to it
@@kenmcclow8963 I guess I don't understand the need to get away from the "dirt". We are camping!

Allows those of us with dogs to sit “outside” and keep the dogs contained at the same time.

Don't think "exploded" is a good descriptor for anything toilet related
GOOD LUCK on getting warranty work done on a Destination trailer.
Excellent point.
Yeah I’ve heard about a couple horror stories already.

RV’ing is not as cheap as it was before covid, in many cases RV’ing can cost more than your traditional stick & bricks.

Those destination trailers are horrible looking and glad they stay in trailer parks more than campgrounds

TV’s often don’t survive. 2 years ago at a Dallas RV show, we saw TV’s that had ripped away from the wall, one on a Cougar and the other on a Montana.
The Benchmark looks like a heavy rail passenger car.
Fantastic video! So much information and great visuals!! Thank you! 👏👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
They need to figure how to make affordable RV's
Agreed. I'm not looking for a towable house or interested in driving / parking a bus. A well-made class B or B+ is enough for me.

Would NEVER buy a modern RV now. Lippert has destroyed the reliability/integrity of seemingly everything.
Would love to see more innovation in safety, crash testing, and hybrid fuel options.

2009 country coach veranda, anybody else notice the similarities in the folding balcony on the sabre? Lol 🍻
That slipper system was designed to get around the patents of the road master system thats been using slipper springs since 2015.

I wish you would cover up those distracting windows behind you😮
You missed me. I was in Elkhart last week too. Lots of new stuff to see.
Has anyone seen the new wingman nation video, holy cow 😮
The studio is looking good…….
Some of this stuff was such a big improvement over what has been done for so many years in the past. So much that I want in my next - or even now RV!
