I’m actually going to school for jewellery-making right now and I love this video. I started on wire wrapping and that’s what made me fall in love with it.
That's so cool!! Thanks for watching!
I use a variety of chainmaille weaves to create a few different settings to incorporate gemstones into my chainmaille jewelry
Yess thank you for talking about wire wrapping!!! You guys rock!
I love these kinds of videos! Thank you for making them 😊
Thank you for watching them! We're glad that you enjoy them so much!
I just started getting into rockhounding and wire-wrapped jewelry making. So far I've just made 3 necklaces, and only one with material I found, but I'm really enjoying it so far. There is an abundance of red and yellow jasper in my area, so at the moment that is my medium of choice. I'm hoping to expand into blue agate, since there's some really pretty blue agate that can be found relatively nearby, and eventually I really hope to get into opal mining. I would LOVE to find a precious opal. I feel like I'd be terrified to cut it, though. xD
Could you put the terms up when you talk about them/show examples?
I've always dreamed of having a sapphire and diamonds channel setting band for my middle finger, but I am only starting to work and save some money, so as soon as I have enough, I'll get that ring for myself
Setting sounds hard and respect to those who handle the gemstones.
Beautiful❤
Great video. I'm thinking of buying a 925 "pre-notched" pendant setting so I can choose the gems that go in it. I've never done anything like this before. Would I, a complete beginner, be able to set these stones in, or would I need to get a jeweller to do it?
I love watching these videos but.. I also get jealous.. And immediately want to go out and buy stones. I love crystals, gems, and even rocks.! I love ya girl you do an amazing job!
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them!
Ooooo..... That tiger was very beautifully set!...😍😍😍😘😘
Dang that last wire wrapping you showed looked gorgeous
Please make a video on alexandrite Or blue amber Or Maybe chalcopyrite Plz ^-^
Chalcopyrite is quite common in Ulster County, New York. They occur mainly underground in places like Ellenville and some might occur on the surface. Chalcopyrite is commonly associated with minerals like Quartz, Sphalerite, Galena, and sometimes Calcite.
I've recently bought a specimen of Peacock Ore from the Astro Gallery of Gems in NYC this past Friday. Peacock ore is a mix of Chalcopyrite, Bornite, and Pyrite. It's amazing how minerals with similar elements in their chemical composition can combine or associate together. Pyrite is an Iron Sulfide while Bornite is a Copper Sulfide. When atoms of Copper, Iron, and Sulfur are combined in a crystalline structure, you get Chalcopyrite.
Cool ty for letting me know that ^-^ but I still want JTV to make a vid about those 3 minerals/gemstones
Hi Natalie, would you like to make a video about Raritanium from the Ratchet and Clank game series?
You forgot to mention invisible setting. Or Mystery setting like by Van cleef and Arpel
1:29 what is the accessory called that holds the diamond for setting?
There are a variety of similar tools, but this appears to be a bur with a flat tip which uses a drop of water to affix the diamond to its tip.
@@gems Thanks for the fast reply. Two black cubic zirconia stones fell out of a pave handset pendant of mine, and instead of returning it, I decided to keep it, and replace the 2 stones myself as an experiment. I found a few "dental burs" which I believe could be used for picking up stones as well, so I'll purchase one. Thanks!
henlo gem buddies.

I mean... Carbon isn't toxic...
so I found a little present from younger me, it's a set of gems? rocks? I know one is a golden tiger eye but that's it.
the rest of the 26 stone I got no clue other than one is a beach rock.
I took a picture with my phone, can anybody help me figure out what they are?

Myself, i collect ancient jewerly and put or repace gemstones or pearls, you get the best of both worlds, the old setting and a beefed up piece of jewerly with rubies, emeralds, saphires, only the best! of two worlds! thats right even i Rome 2000 yrs, ago they had great lookig jewerly, but have you ever see a 2000 yrs, old peral! bad, real ugly! so its great too make it contempory and beautiful again! useing real gemstones no plastic or lab made anything! the stones are much older than the origional settings! diamonds are 2.5 billion- 1.5 billion years old, the only difference is they had no facets, they were cabroshones, so put them in! the best glue, is 2 part epoxie, seriously, don't waste your time with other glues! is it cool too habe a ring, with a Julis Ceasers coin on it? you bet! how about a Berber neckless from the 3rd century a.d. really cool, and its not going too ever loose value! a ruby is always a ruby! the same with an emerald, or sapphire! now if your going too use diamonds, they can be polished but not faceted, those are called Poiki diamond, from India, a diamond is always a diamond! do it! i love too enhance beautiful jewerly, its fun, and they are worth big bucks, don't kid yourself! Robert c Hall wholesale gemstones! N, California, why should jewerlers have all the fun?
