I love the 80's video look...and I realize that it probably made creating this video SO MUCH cheaper and easier lol. LOVE IT.
I'm guessing the only cheaper part is that there is only one singer so one camera is needed (although there are multiple angles, but this can be a product of several takes instead of several cameras). Other than that, they need to pay the same video editor, equipment and camera operator.
Don’t forget they need a green screen for this one too! Not expensive and they probably already had one, but still an added expense in general.

I've never really liked this song, but I LOVED that $hit! I don't know where the hell I've been. I just watched this channel for the 1st time a few hours ago. Now, I'm stuck on stupid. This is fantastic! Your interpretation of it & YO D@MN VOICE!! It was so different. I added some interesting songs into my que & started cleaning up. I've been listening to this channel for hours. No skipping. BRAVO!

What I find really interesting in this is the song structure between a 1980s song and a “modern” post-2000s song: there is almost no intro in modern songs. 1970s and 1980s could see 30 seconds to a minute of instrumental intro before the first vocal line. Not anymore. If there isn’t singing within the first 10 seconds, it could be a “Skip” on a streaming service. I find that kind of sad. I think this would have been so much more 80s with at least a verse-length intro before the vocals start.
But, that’s just, like, my opinion.
