Lovely stuff I enjoyed it very much, Bravo! Interestingly the author of Thomas the Tank Engine obtained much inspiration from 2 steam locomotives called 'Alfred' and 'Judy' that hauled china clay on Par docks in Cornwall. In his books he called them 'Bill' and 'Ben'. I used to see them in action many years ago, and they are still at the Bodmin and Wenford railway station.

Yes. It seems the moment Awdry found a locomotive/railway/whatever in real life, he wonders, “How can I fit this into my books?”
