Just beat curse-rotted great wood and it turns out that you need to break its sacs to trigger the floor to break. Took it down with the Druid DoT and the floor only fell out when the fight was over.
its the same in the base game. you can murder the tree with pestilent mist without triggering stage 2. you can also beat wolnir without activating the fight, but i guess thats not possible in convergence anymore lol
@@DDTRAINER the base game doesn't really have anything that deals DoT damage other than pestilent mist and poison/toxic, and for you to do it to the tree you would have to ignore it for a while until you get orbeck and some scrolls so you can buy it from him. its pretty safe to assume that you're not the only one that hasn't tried it yet ^_^
I'm a little sad he tested that first spell against a wall instead of like... an enemy. It does no damage but essentially one shots an enemy's stamina bar, breaking shield guards, knocking knights on their backs, or putting humanoid bosses in their "fall on their knees" animation in a single cast.

@@sortfaar3 thanks. I just found it really interesting that you could even damage the tree. I never played with AoE or DoT before.

I get this mod, but my game crash when i come on firelink, idk why, i did everything right
the mod crashes occasionally for me, but i've only had one crash in firelink, when traveling to the farron keep bonfire.
You have to own both DLC’s or the mod will crash at Firelink.
