I was so stoked when Globe and Mail's Fraser Simpson had "Bach" in a cryptic crossword, and it was Sebastian. Wish I remembered the details. Shoulda kept that puzzle. Can-Con! This was an instant repeat, thanks yet again Erock!
As a lover of Baroque and Metal, I find this very beautiful, however, nothing is more metal than Vivaldi specially compositions that are not from the Four Seasons, his Lestro Harmonico or Opus 3 , are so amazing that JS Bach transcribed about 6 of the pieces
Holy crap, I was going to leave a comment about how this song was in a computer game I played as a kid, but then I read the description and saw that you beat me to it. Treasure Mountain FTW!
This 'neo-classical' classical masterpiece just goes to prove that the great composers were TOTAL HEADBANGERS!!! Love the crisp, clean, classy guitar work on display here! Wonderful as always!
Damnit, someone hacked Eric’s account. The video that was just posted is not his. Please don’t unsubscribe; he will get it back eventually. Good luck, Eric! 🍀
I always love your metallised classical pieces :) Still hoping you'll find the courage to do an arrangement of Toccata & Fugue in D Minor, I can't help but think that piece was practically written for your attention.
Speaking of Bach being metal, the Harpsichord Concerto in D minor is metal as HELL. In fact, Allegaeon (A technical melo-death band) recorded an EP with a cover of it, you should check it out.
@@drummascooterman Damn, that's beautiful, thanks for the recommendation! I used to use J.S. Bach's "Little" Fugue in G Minor for organ as a bass guitar warm-up, but I never got to Allegaeon levels that's for sure!
Really crazy, Eric, how you come out with such amazing covers! It's irresistible. Love it! You are a true legend.... damn good job! Always team Erock! 🖤🤘😊
@@MediocreHexPeddler Liszt's own favourite tactic to get musicians to play his works. He DID do his best to make his pieces as close to impossible as they could be though ::)
was just tappin through childhood stuff today and fell over Swat Cats cartoon.... you should SO do a Eric Metal version of that intro, i totally forgotten how awesome that was :D
Bravo! I wonder how working it into an orchestral work would pan out? I have always loved Karl Richter's rendition of Brandenburg Concerto No. 3. Makes me wonder what metal guitar, harpsichord, and traditional strings would sound like... I reckon it would require one heck of an arranger.
I've been warming up with this since a friend in high school made me a copy of the piano sheet music. (I don't play the tapping part, sticking more the the piano arrangement of course) Good one!
Been giving some thought to what I might like to see you cover. And searching through your past work I realized. You did Airwolf, but never did Knight Rider or the A-Team...
Can you do Elegia by New Order and keep the tone? There seems to be opportunities to riff more than the original does but I would hate to see that same tone lost in the process. You sir I believe can be up to that challenge.
You just prove that classical music was made to be metal.
Alot of metal is derived from classical or atleast influenced by it, so it would make sense that Classical can be metal.
Some classical music *is* metal, they just didn't know it at the time.
@@ikitclaw7146 I can't remember which song, but one of the bodom songs specifically has a small lick from Bach, I think the nail?
I always said that classical music is just metal before they had electric instruments.
especially baroque
There is definitely something about baroque keyboard music that really works in a metal guitar context! MOAR PLEASE!!!!! 😀
i read that as barbeque instead of baroque and now i'm curious what barbeque keyboard music sounds like.
Children of Bodom used this to great effect in their music.
And Running Wild, particularly in their first albums
I remember your early years on youtube. You have improved so drastically it's amazing
Classic is the metal of the renaissance 😎
Rock out with your Bach out
This music was written 200 years after the renaissance ended.
@@BigAl72ZGE Stop nitpicking 😂
@@BigAl72ZGE And in the Baroque period, which is arguably rather different from the later common practice classical period.
Not that Bach ;)
Underrated comment
which one? skid row’s?
I'll be bach

There is another?!
As a lover of Baroque and Metal, I find this very beautiful, however, nothing is more metal than Vivaldi specially compositions that are not from the Four Seasons, his Lestro Harmonico or Opus 3 , are so amazing that JS Bach transcribed about 6 of the pieces
Classical has always felt to me like it was the metal of it's time. The fact that it translates so well I think further supports that. Well done!
Man, this has Castlevania vibes - just imagining Trevor Belmont facing off against Dracula to this. Great work!
Holy crap, I was going to leave a comment about how this song was in a computer game I played as a kid, but then I read the description and saw that you beat me to it. Treasure Mountain FTW!
I love Baroque classical music and metal. This is a full package for me. Thank you
When you love metal and your first thought upon seeing the title is still "It's Bach, you don't need another reason to listen to it."
This 'neo-classical' classical masterpiece just goes to prove that the great composers were TOTAL HEADBANGERS!!! Love the crisp, clean, classy guitar work on display here! Wonderful as always!
There's a surprising amount of crossover between metal fans and classical fans.
Wow! This song appears in the intro of the song The Damnation Game by Symphony X. Now i found where it came from!!! Hahaha 🧐
You're back!!! that's awesome!!!

Such a super epic guitar cover.
I feel my adrenaline rushing through my veins.
You NAILED IT! Everything I've heard you do over the years is exceptional 🤘
I follow you for years now and really enjoy your music but this is a masterpiece 👏
Yeah man!!! Great performance playing metal😮🔥🔥🔥🎸
Classical music isn't boring. It just needs a good set of drums
Bro you’re awesome 😅 I’ve been watching your videos for years…. You Rock !
Classical+metal= beautiful ❤️
This is my favorite kind of cover! Classical and metal have always been an odd pair, but they really go well together.

I loved when you did moonlight sonata a long ways back. Always wanted you to do hungrian rhapsody #2 but that would be asking quite a lot
Fastest way to get a metal artist to play something is to tell them it can't be done :]

Kudos to you onyour brilliant performance. I don't think a lot of listeners really understand how hard it is to play this music.
