Omg thankyou so much for a great video! Clear and very informative. Im removing my steering wheel to put on a Momo racing wheel. I have to put a resistor on my airbag wiring tho (so my light wont stay on) but the bit i was worried about is removing the bag.
Thanks, that is very useful. I didn't know how to remove an air bag safely. I will now go and look at my Fiat Ducato camper van and see if it is wired for steering wheel controls, then buy a steering wheel with switches. The radio is a long way away from the driver on commercial vehicles and the touch screen unit fitted as standard seriously needs steering wheel controls.
Hey. Good video. I have a question about that circular part (the coil with the white+yellow sticker and yellow cable) beneath the steering wheel that all the connectors go through. Would you by chance know the part number for it? I've been having a hell of a hard time trying to find one.
Its called a " clock spring "... its a circle of wires that make all the connections on steering wheel like volume mode change cruise control etc .. don't know part number but thats its name
ok so.. which is the horn wire? hmm, so if i change my steering wheel with one wich doesn't have an airbag.. how does the new mechanism works? ..as the new one does't have nothing in the interior, i meen it's just a plastick pack.. How does that clicks the horn...?
keep the nut on not quite off, wiggle the steeringwheel because it can be a challenge to get the steeringwheel off. If it sits to tight and the nut is all off you can stand in line for new teeth when you try to pull the steeringwheel loose!

Thank you. Had slack in steering, thought it was spline, was loose universal joint between column and rod from floor. Very helpful - 👌
I am giving you a thumb up for your little helpful assistant there. 👍 I pray God bless your relationship
Thanks so much
Great video & found to be very informative and useful..

Can we remove the side plastic parts? (One with the radio buttons) I have to repaint them.

The Black wire is the horn. The horn is activated by pressing the air bag area.

That good advice !
thanks 2021
Do you have a video of how to take off the steering wheel cover for horn?
is it possible to replace the front cover (with suzuki logo/horn pad) of the airbag?
i believe that the black wire is for the horn..., not for the air...
What is the diameter of the central nut ?
👍🏽👀
DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE WORKING WITH THE AIR BAG
I had the negative off for about one and half hours before doing this - now the airbag light is on the dash - Why?
Maybe you did not connect the airbag correctly ? did you move the steering wheel ?
@@L663 connected correctly and No - didn’t move the wheel.
