It was 1978 on 28th February at abt 7 '30 am l was just bn discharged frm the clinic the bombers approached from eastern side along the commando pool and appeared on top of the base.
The Boma mission was a mission disgned for missionaries not for military training. Then mpla took and donated to Zipra as a training center.
On the day abt 800 trained personnel were eliminated by the enemy more than 1000 recruiters were killed 250 Cillian were caught on cross fire . I crowled in tactical trench towards the commando pool only to find out tht where trenches splitter guys were trapped by a mirage 😊 tht was floating above the exit.
There was infantry and support group. 9 to 12 attillery 1 to 8 infantry
Recruits and the incoming recruits training programs commenced juc after bombardment😮
