i always thought if you attack these mobs when they are in their shell you won't be able to get the armors because logically you would crack the shell with hits
Guide idea: what are the hot keys that you use? Like how do i hide using snurtle shell armour? Are there any cool hot keys to know besides the obvious WASD, F and space bar?

I've noticed major depth worms down there and they seem to do all the work me...takes a bit of time but I just come back later after the battles and collect the loot..got a few sets already.
I found a slurtle immediately when i spelunked in a cave. I remembered one of your videos how slurtle was rare. I also remembered how you keep on saying murder is always the best way. So I murdered the slurtle and all I got was goo. Just a story I wanted to share.
beard, can you do a vid on how to repair clothes, armors and so on... what can a sewing kit do, how else to repair some high end armor... or cant they be repaired...
For some reason the trick with the whip does not work for me :( I play with wormwood and when I deaggro them with the whip and attack afterwards with my ham bat, they attack again :( :( But the way to farm the armor is amazing! :)
You want to use plain old ice when you're going to be around something that will make it melt faster...? Ice melts in your inventory through heat around you. Standing near flames will only make it meaningless in the long run.

Why not use watering cans to put out the fire? Someone in the endless i play in did thatand it worked well
I hadn't realized that they implemented that to be honest. I knew the can worked on fires above ground so I guess I should've figured otherwise.

Problem is, Watering Can is DTS only, doesn't exist in ROG.

I use snurtle slime as a form of never spoiling light bulbs for filling lanterns at the base

Lichen,splumonkeys and whataver you bring down under,and in year of the beefalo you can make underground beefalo herds with the bell
And you can still find normal spiders,blue caps and all that,so monster meat plus 3 caps=meatballs
