Vortex Budokai Tenkaichi 3 had very good gameplay but the story is pretty bad, it can’t be denied. The soundtrack, the fact it’s 3D instead of 2D, and roster is up to opinion. Some people like 2D fighters instead for the fast-paced fighting, others like 3D for the freedom of movement. Some prefer a smaller roster with unique playstyles for each character, while others like to have a larger roster with a wide variety of character choice, even if they may all play relatively the same.

Dude, Kakarot looks alot prettier but newer games just don't have the soul that Tenkaichi 3 had. Everything in BT3 is quick, to the point, and gets you right back into the action which always feels really intense despite the game actually being pretty simplistic.
The fact that DBZ BT3 has Fasha, Spopovich, Babidi and every important Dragonball character makes it not only the goat DBZ game but also the goat anime game. Ninja Storm is a close second

I never played the old DBZ games, but I’m really impressed with the way the tenkaichi 3 looks and holds up. With DBZK u expect amazing graphics gameplay and cinematics because it’s a next gen console. It’s to be expected. The fact that this old ps2 game looks so fire, even today, is truly a testament to the developers of the older games. I have an old ps2, perhaps I’ll have to pick up this old gem at some point 👌
That is because BT3 was more cinematic with all its moves and abilities. Kakarot is more to the point; actually only the aura not being yellow in SS actually bothers me. Also the amount of child friendly cut backs from the source material; unless it was based off Kai.

I'm still terrified of that move in bt2 and bt3, it was so powerfull, fast and difficult to avoid and i always hoped the AI was not gonna use it or spam it against me especially when i was close and wasn't expecting that...

Also the damage was equal to fully charged beam blasts which didnt make sense. Bt3 one nerfed it and wasnt scary, you could dodge it just by dashing. And the homing was weak, once it passed you it wont fling back like a boomerang to hit you like in Bt2. But yes Bt2 was really nightmarush
Oh yes but we would never have that instead they would give us a xenoverse 3 with 5 characters that don't matter at all and they would put out DLC'S for more characters I'm glad we have mods that can fix that
Its been more than 14 years and bt3 is still the best dbz game in my opinion. The game just perfectly added all dbz +gt And original material packed into 1 single game without asking the fans to pay for dlc. Lol those were better days.
I still remember all the trasformations lines: the "you'll pay for this!!" (Goku ssj), "ok, let's go!" Goku (ssj2), "sorry to keep you waiting..." (Goku ssj3) / (teen Gonan ssj1) "i'm going to beat you!" And the legendary "you're finished!!" (Teen Gohan ssj2) even Vegeta's ssj2 "the real battle begins!!" And many more... Once again it proves how much depth the devs put even in those little details...
I love the detail they gave to Vegetas transformations in Kakarot, where he is holding up his right arm in a fist similar to his first super Saiyan transformation.

I've been a big fan of bt3 since its release and I'm still playing it to this day, but dragon ball kakarot is a masterpiece nevertheless, the two games just doesn't offer the same type of content, bt3 offers you the best experience there is when it comes to combat, with basically all the characters, transformations and attacks we've seen in the anime, while with kakarot, it's all about the adventure, which is actually a very brilliant idea that was executed magnificently and I never though such a dragon ball game would see the day. So basically the two games were made with a lot of love and we should give them both credit for that and not bring down one of them just for the sake of nostalgia

For the people that want a tenkaichi 3 remaster don't even think about it if they make a remaster today it would have only goku vegeta and gohan as playable characters if you want the WHOLE characters then you would have to buy DLC's each month for each character because that's how it works now a days for some reason so let's just keep our childhood saved and just keep playing the classic one cuz is perfect as it is

Don't wanna play smart but having played all 3 tenkaichi games in ps2 and being a fan of both the games and the series (not the 2015 continuation) for a long long time i think tenkaichi is unmatched and is by far the most accurately enjoyable DBZ fight representation to date.. zooms in at the right moments the moves look both powerful and easy to use they are also very enjoyable if you succeed in applying them on the enemy and flow very smoothly. DBK is polished and all im sure it has its great moments but gameplay-wise DBZT is superior. Having said that i pray we see an exact sequel to the tenkaichi series someday.

Ambos juegos tienen su propio encanto, dbzk por el arte cinematografico y la atencion a los detalles de los echos puestos por el anime, mientras que bt3 por tener una muy buena mecanica de pelea y mas aún que se basan en los personajes a traves del manga mismo!

ki charging particles in BT3 are even more coerent than the Kakarot... Ki attacks's colision also has more variety and seems to be much cooler. Kakarot has not improved too much, only the graphics are better. BT3 deserves a Full HD remaster, yes.
If we could get a game with Xenoverse 2's CAC/PvE content (preferably with no RNG involved), the fighting fluidity of BT3, and the cinematic presentation of Kakarot, I would leap with joy like a little schoolgirl.

The ki charge aura animations and particules are so damn well made, i could watch it for hours truly it represents well the evilness, the fury or even the pure heart of the one who charges it, compare the purple aura of explorer vegeta and mid vegeta on bt3 its so well done!
The big problem with DBZK graphics imo are the gradient filters and blur effects, they totally ruin the sharpeness of the visuals, for example 4:10 wtf it looks like suddenly its night
I don't like how underwhelming the transformations are in kakarot. The kids charges are more dramatic than the transformations..they should have that the other way around.
It’s because they save the more powerful looking stuff for surge. When you search it does a little animation that looks way more powerful than the regular transformation. But I do agree that the transformation themselves could look a little more powerful

For me, DBZ BT3 has one of the best graphics in an anime game.
I know it is outdated, however, I think that if the models were more polished and had high definition textures it would be the perfect graphic for me.

Its a timeless classic and a childhood treasure that I have preserved for a decade with the upmost care. A love that I can’t and will never let go🙌🏽💘💝

For the people that want a tenkaichi 3 remaster don't even think about it if they make a remaster today it would have only goku vegeta and gohan as playable characters if you want the WHOLE characters then you would have to buy DLC's each month for each character because that's how it works now a days for some reason so let's just keep our childhood saved and just keep playing the classic one cuz is perfect as it is

Don't wanna play smart but having played all 3 tenkaichi games in ps2 and being a fan of both the games and the series (not the 2015 continuation) for a long long time i think tenkaichi is unmatched and is by far the most accurately enjoyable DBZ fight representation to date.. zooms in at the right moments the moves look both powerful and easy to use they are also very enjoyable if you succeed in applying them on the enemy and flow very smoothly. DBK is polished and all im sure it has its great moments but gameplay-wise DBZT is superior. Having said that i pray we see an exact sequel to the tenkaichi series someday.

We can say that dbzk is better in relation of grafics and story, but dbzbt3 has a better combat sistem.
ki charging particles in BT3 are even more coerent than the Kakarot... Ki attacks's colision also has more variety and seems to be much cooler. Kakarot has not improved too much, only the graphics are better.
BT3 deserves a Full HD remaster, yes.

The ki charge aura animations and particules are so damn well made, i could watch it for hours truly it represents well the evilness, the fury or even the pure heart of the one who charges it, compare the purple aura of explorer vegeta and mid vegeta on bt3 its so well done!

I don't like how underwhelming the transformations are in kakarot. The kids charges are more dramatic than the transformations..they should have that the other way around.
It’s because they save the more powerful looking stuff for surge. When you search it does a little animation that looks way more powerful than the regular transformation. But I do agree that the transformation themselves could look a little more powerful

Why does every new DBZ game have weak ass Ki blasts? It's like they're throwing flour at each other.
I can why BT3 is so good. They got all the effects, destruction, and cinematics of the moves perfect.
I still have my DB:BT3 CD for my PS2 since I was young, I really loved this game. It has the most satisfying combat and quality for a PS2 game.
