Mr Benn - David McKee exhibition (Breakfast, 23.5.14)

Mr Benn was one of the all-time iconic characters of my childhood and an exhibition was held in London to exhibit creator David McKee's work.
Unfortunately, it has now finished, but maybe, as if by magic, they'll have another?

I'm with the male presenter. I wish I never found that out either. After 50yrs I never gave his first name a thought.

'Bill' Ben, Hmmmmmm.
I think Mr Ben the Movie would only be greatly successful IF it were David McKee's drawings. We have seen other classics 'ruined' by newer more 'convenient' artwork/graphics that never capture the essence, the memory, and to make up for it, the characters end up with bad or stupid attitudes.
