    Version 13 is the best Reason has felt in years to me. Its so fast and the DAW itself finally feels complete.

      I think the speed is definitely the biggest improvement. They made it way easier to find stuff in there now.

    Cool review (and beat). Been a Reason user since version 2.0, but haven't touched it since version 8... I bought the upgrade and now I'm thinking about making this my main DAW (I have many others - name them and I probably got them). Thanks for the cool video!

    I have a question about Reason. I've been using it for a while now as a beginner and I find that the bass is always muddy. I think FL Studio and the MPC software sound better for hiphop RnB or Soul music. I been remaking I Feel Love by Donna Summer in Fl Studio, Ableton and MPC as a tutorial. MPC sounds the best but Reason is hard to get a good sound. I'm beginner but has used Reason the most and find mixing in it hard to get good bounce bass. Any advice??? Thx and great chanel.

    • @GhettoStyles
      @GhettoStyles  4 місяці тому +1

      Reason does have a lot of flat sounds by default. The magic in Reason to me is the customization. With all of the buttons and knobs available on each instrument you can bend the sound to your liking and it’s near limitless with the ability to rewire anything to anything else.
      Also if the bass sounds too muddy then try to high pass the low end down to 40, 80, or 120hz. Those are usually the frequency ranges where mud in bass reside. You can also try a bell curve around those frequencies and pull it down few db.

    • @WizardOfAILand
      @WizardOfAILand 4 місяці тому +1

      @@GhettoStyles Man thanks but do you also have a MPC channel??? I think I saw u there too. I just used the stock Reason drums, but Ill try some more, but it appears one needs a PHd in mixing on Reason when it is a peace of cake on hte MPC sofrtware.

    • @GhettoStyles
      @GhettoStyles  4 місяці тому +1

      @@WizardOfAILand This channel is primarily MPC Content but in terms of mixing in Reason the actual Mixer is based on SSL consoles. I believe you may need to look more into the sound design aspects.
      As far as the Bass you are having trouble with specifically I can't say because there are many different Bass Synths in Reason and they have various characteristics. The most straight forward Bass in Reason is probably SubTractor but it is also one of the oldest as well and you will need to tweek it if you are looking for a more modern sound. Electric Bass has more realistic sounding Basses, and Monotone has more modern sounding Synth Basses. You can also get a bass sound out of just about any other synth available as well but those are the ones that are dedicated bass synths.

    What’s good brahh I’m from San Francisco California came across your Channel 1st off triple salute , I got a question for you, Brody I make beats on machine, native instruments never touched MPC What got me interested was the trap soul expansion? And a couple R&B expansions Is it worth buying the program? Or should I buy a hardware and get the program? And what hardware do you recommend if I only wanted one mpc x look raw can you throw me a little game and may be a couple expansions you recommend for that mozzy make a gangster cry type of sound from drums too loops with the mpc much luvvv 🫡

    • @GhettoStyles
      @GhettoStyles  4 місяці тому +1

      @@Theflipstoner wussup bro! I have a maschine mk3 also. I think it’s dope. I do like MPC better though. Honestly maschine had a better overall sound library. The MPC X is the flagship but if I was to recommend one to start with it would probably be the MPC One. All MPCs come with the software for free. You can buy the software only but it is more difficult to navigate without a hardware unit. The software does work with any basic MIDI controller but hardware units have buttons for just about every function making it way easier. As far as expansions there are a bunch of dope ones. There are multiple that fit that trap soul kind of feel. Like one called Trap&B.

      @@Theflipstoner that sounds like an impressive setup. I have an Apollo X8. I also have an older version of Komplete Ultimate. It has a bazillion sound in it but I honestly rarely use it. I might be 10 or 11. The sound libraries I tend to learn to are the ones I can find sounds the quickest in. I definitely want good quality sound but I like finding usable sounds fast. If something isn’t the best quality I can always use plugins like EQs and Compressors to get it where I like. That’s just me though. At the same time I don’t aim to sound like anyone else. I have my own kind of lane.
