it suck that in olympus there are not enought dimond for all hermit and mount, and the stag is necessery to beat island of atermist so if you spend all dimond before like me, you fup
Thanks! I do once I have the knight upgrade which isn't until the last island. I guess I assumed they would be too weak without the knight statue. Sub 2 would be veeery hard, I'm not sure what strategies could remove an additional 8 minutes
That must be true. And I have to say you already have almost optimal pacing. It'll come down to the last little details and RNG. Two things I'd definitely do is make more workers when you can do both the last base upgrade and the bomb. So that they start pushing the bomb earlier. Also if the way back from the cave is long, but there's a small portal closer to the cave's entrance, you can opt to make it a functioning portal while you're inside the cave. Come out and there's a nice half minute time save ready to go for two coins. (You can lure a worker earlier with chopping a tree if necessary) But yeah, like I said, pretty optimal pacing. Especially the first 30 minutes. It's pretty astounding how much money overflow you kept on having while setting WR pace. It's why I think you could get sub 2 with some luck. It all comes down to always having the builders build boats, bases and bombs whenever they can, and hoping for short walks towards the cave. Last thing, this run's island 5 was just 🤌
@@GustvandeWal thanks for the tips! having enough money comes down to the tiniest details when you try to rush it. Just one full extra coinbag per island is a big deal so hire the minimal amount of people could save half a coinbag and hiring enough farmers before morning could ensure some extra harvests or just hunting a couple extra deer etc. There's also some other "invinsible strategies" such as I leave some people hired without jobs so if the squires decide to guard the wrong side of the island on return I can make a new group right away. If people are interested I could write down strategies I used. If someone beats this recrod I'll give it another go again otherwise I'll keep this one. Getting good map rng tests your patience sometimes
I haven't played this game since olympus came out but it's not impossible the big update that came alongside olympus may have changed some details. Cursed or normal difficulty should not matter

agree but especially getting softlocked on artemis island seems weird, hopefully the devs realise that and fix that in some way
Is good design, it doesn't suck. It makes you use your brain and prioritize some mounts and hermits over others
Nice run!! You should totally stand a little closer to the nests inside the caves though! The squires do damage to the nests too

My warriors do not attack portals, whats the reason? (i only play cursed difficulty, is that the reason? or version?)
