Overkill appears on Motörhead’s album ‘Overkill’. Originally released on Bronze Records on 24th March 1979, produced by Jimmy Miller. The line up on this album was Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke and Philthy Animal Taylor.

The double bass drumming reigns as the overall foundation/driver of the song in an awesome way. To me it comes across like the guitar/bass and vocals are a compliment to the drums in this song. (compared to the opposite scenario where the drums compliment/accentuate the main guitar riff of a song) I bet it was awesome to hear drumming like that back then when this was a brand new thing.

The difference between Motörhead and Ted Nugent band is that Ted Nugent is still alive. (This song is Heads Will Roll by Ted Nugent).. and Ted is better.
