My favorite IH of all
Forward flow cooling seemed like a great idea.
great video
thanks. :) dont 4get 2 watch all my other ih vids, when u get some free time. :)
Too bad IH went bust right after these came out. They were some damn nice tractors for their day. Ahead of their time for sure.
+Justin Stearns ya it sucked.. they had some good tractors.. now u can only find used 1's..
@@tomtbi I often thought too that AC was ahead of there time. They were big heavy tractors !
I wouldn't say they were ahead of their time with it's 80 6706 transmission but putting the shifting on the right side and adding an electric transmission rate was a major improvement to him
Is their a dvd that has these ads in
Is any video available for the 3488 Hydro (Hydrostatic), especially with front wheel assist and loader.
Well designed tractors, the 88 Series.
IH was in financial trouble at the stage and the 88 series had a short product life..
The Case IH models replaced the 88 Series after the merger.
thats sad, alot of people seem 2 like the 88 Series, i would like 1. :)
***** Go buy a Magnum, they are a direct descendant of the 5488 and 70 series 2+2's.
scnwpa
there nice to. :) can Magnum"s have loaders?? thats one thing i dont no..
They build loaders for them. Even had a loader for the 9100 series Steigers available, too.
If you park a 5488, 7288, and 7250 side to side, and look at them from the back, you'd probably count the visible differences on 1 hand.
Damn nice tractors ih made I wonder what one of them costs new back in the early 80s? To bad they went under I have seen a lot of the 30 series around here
+Ricky Weaver they are nice. not to sure but im sure it was over $10,000 new. maybe 1 day they'll make them again. i know NH started makeing the ford 8n's again. so ih might start doing that to.
***** yes it was. Dam tractor was a piece of shit. Didn't like it one bit. Traded it on a 4240 I'd. Lot better tractor
Is all of the equipment shown here IH equipment?
+MRJOHNDEERE3720, Thank you. If you happen to have any Ford, Allis-Chalmers, Oliver, White or any others, I'd like to see them as well. :)
YLW Pyro ur welcome. :) i have seen some Allis-Chalmers, but i have not gotin it on dvd. but ya im hopeing 2 get some other tractor's on this channel. :)
hoj
That crabby looking old guy at the beginning of the video looks like he was 82 in 1982.
Biggest piece of junk tractors ever built
Wish the days were still here where an AG manufacturer was still its own entity, not a bought out conglomerate of despair.
same here
