Thank you Carol F. for the comment. We are working on adding "see it in my room" for all the flooring we sell - in the case of Forbo Marmoleum, we have all the Click colors in our floor visualizer via the "See it in my room" link on the product page: www.greenbuildingsupply.com/All-Products/Forbo-Marmoleum-Click-Cinch-Loc - if you want to see patterns, you can use Forbo's floor planner via : forbo-consumers.esignserver3.com/gallery.do 🙂
Excellent video. We are looking at a home with Marmoleum in a kitchen and bath area. It is the roll sheet kind (1st sample) and we had no idea what it was. It was almost rubbery. Thanks, now we know!
Do any of these products contain formaldehyde, phthalates or pvc? What is the HDF wood fiberboard made out of? Can they be installed on stairs? Do you need any finishing trim like with LVT? Looking for something non-toxic.
Hello, Kristen Thank you so much for the question, this product contains no formaldehdye, no pvc and no phthalates. The HDF is made of wood, sawdust and adhesive with no added urea formaldehyde. We do have moldings available but we don’t recommend them for stairs. Here is a link to our marmoleum, you will find a ton of information and products here: www.greenbuildingsupply.com/All-Products/Flooring-Marmoleum
@@kristene.1602 it really matters on the look you are wanting. One thing we could recommend is getting oak stair treads and staining them, or you could always go with carpet as well. I have linked our carpet page, and you can find our stains on our site as well: www.greenbuildingsupply.com/All-Products/Wool-Carpet
Some installers use toxic standard glue with it because that’s what they have on hand from installing vinyl. You have to make sure you buy the special glue and have your installer use the non toxic glue from the same line that you bought.
I am looking to floor a yurt with a plywood subfloor and 18 walls (18 corners) of 4' width each. I'm attracted to the click style so I don't need to get the subfloor perfect, but can I cut the click to shape to the 18-wall almost circular type structure?
We are very interested in putting this in our school hallway. It is 1200 square feet. The click option sounds very good for our purpose. Currently there is a ceramic tile floor. The tiles are cracking, the grout is coming out and it is not perfectly level. Is it possible to put the click option on top of the ceramic tile floor? We are located in Ottawa. Do you have any suppliers in the Ottawa area?
It's cork, so it's renewable. Cork is the outer layer of bark of a cork tree so the tree isn't cut down and it will continue to produce cork, so it's more sustainable than most wood products
We now offer a waterproof core with all the same benefits of the original marmoleum click. You can find it here: www.greenbuildingsupply.com/All-Products/Click/Forbo-Marmoleum-Click-Cinch-Loc
Can an Underlayment pad be used under marmoleum click or one of the other types to make it more comfortable to walk on? I have a cement slab. I ordered Kahrs red oak from your store. The pad I am asking about would be the one used with my Kahrs flooring. I plan on using the marmoleum in both bathrooms. Thank you for this excellent UA-cam video. Jane
Marmoleum is extremely durable - but it does have it's limits. For instance, high heels and traffic are no problem, but if you drag furniture across it you risk scratching the surface, as with any floor even ceramic tile. We always recommend using soft furniture feet for moving.
It should not need it unless it is older than 10 years and has excessive wear. It can then be buffed and refinished. We stock a sample box on our website if you wish to try it in your own home. www.greenbuildingsupply.com/Marmoleum-Click-Complete-Kit
It depends on wear. I laid this nearly throughout on a self build house some years ago. It was sheet and professionally laid. Upstairs had designs etc The kitchen was high use area and had a lot of wear and cleaning. It nearly wore through near sink. I should have used commercial grade there. 15 years later I’ve chosen marmoleum for flooring renovation. But this time its tiles as sheet doesn’t seem available in this area( Yorkshire UK) Also range of colours less. I didn’t realise the tiles don’t have hessian backing so less eco friendly and probably more adhesive needed. Going over floor grade ply. Not cheap but nicer than vinyl and laminate.
The peeple in this video are slightly misleading as to how much you can get away with floor prep. If your concrete is really rough you might need to apply a self leveling compound which will acheive near perfect level and smoothness. A cheaper alternative if the concrete is in decent condition you can grind and patch the floor where it needs. A floor doesnt have to be level for marmoleum, just smooth and free of voids and lumps or high spots.
you two did an excellent job of explaining the differences to the three types. well done!
How resilient and water proof are these products. Thank you
Sold! Seriously: this video is what won my business. Currently awaiting my rental sample pack, and then I'll get to place my order! woot!
Your website and videos are fantastic but I do wish you would have the " see it on your floor " option!

Is marmoleum a brand name for linoleum? I have linoleum in my very large bathroom and love it. No tile grout to scrub at all.
From my reading, it is a specific type of linoleum developed by Forbo and that is the most water resistant of linoleums.
Yes Marmoleum is a brand for linoleum made by Forbo.. Don't know of anyone else who makes linoleum.

Can I use marmoleum click on tile floor? Does it need to be glued or just click?
This dudes mustache is legit 🤌
To seal better for an acidic environment, what sealer should I use? I'm thinking of sealers I've seen for hospitals, schools, colleges. Thanks!

What is the acoustic rating? Any information on soundproofing?
How well does marmoleum work with radiant heat? We're installing a slab foundation with radiant heat.
This is my exact question. Same scenario. Did you ever find an answer?

How can I buy this product?
Is the click as sustainable if it has fiberglass in the back???
After installation what would be the cheapest options guys by the square foot guys?
For the click, can it go over tile?
How does the click product work on a floor with a slope like a laundry room near the floor drain?

If it’s sheet in a wet area the seams should be heat welded
