I just returned from 2 months in Argentina having circumnavigated the country, starting in Mendoza and heading south, the west and north to Iguazu Falls. I have been to 17 countries, never in a resort, and the people of Argentina are by far the friendliest people anywhere. And more than "friendly". They have a deep warmth and love in them. Oh, also, the cleanest country I've ever visited.
Looks like people from Mendoza are nice and friendly, the skies are blue and sunny, the streets are full of trees, and the food is delicious ! I envy you guys, it's evident you both are having a great time and you girl, especially, look so happy it's a pleasure to watch your facial expressions and happy voice. Stay well.

I moved to Buenos Aires 2 months ago! Such a incridible city! Much safer than most of American / European cities. Affordable prices and great quality goof!

Fun Fact: Actually, Chacras de Coria and the vast mayority of "kinda wealthy barrios" in Argentina are planned to be the most similar thing to American Suburbia as possible. Also, Mendoza is one of the most sprawled cities in Argentina because you couldn't build heiger than 7 flats till last decade, so the mayority of people in Gran Mendoza lives in suburbia (In the departments of Guaymallén, Las Heras, Godoy Cruz, Maipú and Luján de Cuyo).

I would say don't spend all of your time in Buenos Aires f you can. Don't get me wrong, you'll love it but Argentina's a lot different than what Buenos Aires is and although an amazing place, it's not an accurate representation of all you can see and do (and definitely not how the majority of the country lives like anyway).

When in Buenos Aires you must visit: Libreria El Ateneo Gran Splendid (the best library in the whole world, breathtaking!), you must visit Recoleta and the cemetery (sounds creepy I know, but you'll love it, it looks like a Gothic City), you must try Rapanui Ice Cream, my favourite Ice Cream in the whole world (and I've been to Italy, believe me), you gotta do San Telmo on a Sunday, there's an Antiques Fair that takes place every Sunday (since the ´70s) and people dance tango in the little plaza San Telmo. Also, take a catamaran or a boat ride in Tigre.

@@jgconnelly a small town called puenta del inca is at the base of aconcagua, there should be no shortage of video from this area, plenty of other mnts in the region as well, from mendoza its a relatively easy bus ride to pdi.

Its to commemorate Mexico's victory over the French in 1862 .. funny thing is it was celebrated first in the US by the hispanic ( mexican) population for decades then became sorta a holiday in México much much later .. even then its not a big thing in México as compared to the US.
