Very cool rig and indoor course, I really like these little crawlers, we just got our first mini crawlers the little trx4m and have upgraded one fun but not as agile as your rigs. every time I think about filming one I am reminded how much it struggles to clamber over stuff and snags on everything, maybe I just need to reduce my scale obstacle expectations 🤣🤣🤣
I'm coming up on equal parts scale trucks versus comp rigs. I like the 24 scale comps a lot. Cheaper (yeah, right!) and easy to work on. Congrats on the new TRX4m purchases. Nice! I'm a big fan of the Defender. I just did an MN111 D110 diecast not long ago. The thing I've found with all the different scales is that it does help to scale down the terrain, especially with video. It saves on frustration for not being able to do certain stuff and you break far less stuff!
It seems to swim through the course now. It handles breakovers a little differently because of the narrower track width, like it works a little harder to get leverage, but it seems to turn on a dime now. So much better than before. AND it stays planted far better than I thought it would being so narrow. You were 100% right about the changes being good ones to make.
It sure beats being set up in my kitchen for the last 3 winters! It's a unique situation. One of my parents died a few months ago so I relocated half across the country to be live-in caregiver for my mom. Since the space is completely unused I figured I may as well do something to keep me occupied!
I don't know how much a person would want to clock a portal axle. I mean, nothing says you can't but I think the more stress placed on the gearbox / C-Hubs from being clocked may cause issues down the road. Plus it would turn weird by flopping from side to side.
I don't actually think I have done a video on trimming pins. That's some voodoo that each driver wants to use on their own. I'd hate to be responsible for someone over cutting and not being happy with the results.
Local heroes, man. Every town has some! I only know of about 3 or 4 guys into 1:1 stuff and about the same amount into the RC stuff. Vermont seemed pretty isolated in terms of people meeting up to crawl and whatnot. The closer you get Essex/Burlington/Chittenden County, you'll find more people into it. But, yeah, outside of my immediate friends, I never met up with anyone there.
If lines were pizza, this thing would cut them. It's the RC Pizza Cutter. Are you into comp rigs at all? Sporty/Pro Shafty/2.2 Pro stuff at all? Super Class rigs are what this is modeled after. The other one is closer to what a 1/10 would be like. But, yeah, technically, this is a super24.
@VermontScaleCustoms the only crawling rigs I have are my trx4 and trx4m. I also have an Axial Yeti XL, but that's really more of an oversized rock bouncer/racer. I can get into just about anything that's mildly interesting
First again 😂!
I wish I could say you won something! I'll pin you!

I like how it moves! 👍

Hey brother, have you found any portal axles that you can clock?

@@VermontScaleCustoms hey brother, can I ask how you cut your tires? Knive? Razor blade?
I've done it a couple different ways, But tweezers and nail clippers or a pair of small wire cutters with good jaws.
Maybe u already did a video on that. My apologies if you did.

Hahaa no more moving rocks around.. so i proceeded to move rocks around
That's me to the letter. How's it going? Buy a couple of smalls and take up indoor crawling.
Hey so my nephew has talked like he's one of the best ,most well known crawlers in the state of Vermont. Just wondering if you know him

That thing just looks so whacked out
