Spell-binding and so so deeply moving. Lavinia Meijer has combined her astonishing virtuosity with Glass's deeply original music, with world-class results. She makes a convincing argument that Glass's hypnotic piano compositions, though amazing on piano, are far better on the harp! Bravo bravissimo!

The Hours is a deep and profound look into depression and mental health issues. Originally a book by Michael Cunningham, it was made into a movie in 2002. The movie perfectly captured the constant sense of dread and longing living with depression causes. The music that Philip Glass composed for this film are works of art. The notes he crafted speak of anxiety and the deep heavy feelings associated with poor mental health. Hearing it now so eloquently transposed for the Harp... Lavinia has provided with a simple and yet rich version of Glass' work and its truly spell binding.
