    Warming up with a hair drier the part with the hole in the thigh, then popping the peg in and pushing a little while cooling it off would have done wonders. Same goes for the vents in the backpack - they do rotate, trust me. Also, if you pull a bit on the shoulder joints, they extend outwards for additional range of motion (they are built for that). As for the price, it's just a matter of research. I live in Europe and, once I found out which (very few) specialized JoyToy sellers on AE are reliable, I got my figures for a lot less. The same figure you got, for example, I got for 28 USD (with promotional price + seller coupons) and keep in mind that the price I paid also includes 19% VAT - which is added by default for EU countries.

      Thank you for the advice. I will admit to being a Joy Toy novice for sure. Definitely a bit frustrated after just opening it, but after messing around with the 2nd one for a while, I am sold on them. They are great

      @@EvilClownSlayer Thank you for the advice, unfortunately, I am already addicted to JoyToy Space Wolves.
      I am currently at 4 figures and sadly, I am psychologically inclined to form a full squad of 5, heh.

    I am not 100% sure, but I've read and heard from several different sources that this toyline from Joytoy is so expensive here, in the so-called "western world", because Joytoy has ALLEGEDLY secured from the Games Workshop (GW; creators and owners of the WH40k franchise) only a limited licence to produce and sell these on the Chinese market only (possibly due to McFarlane and Bandai's rights) and they cannot directly export them themselves. Therefore, before these toys end up in your or my hands, they have to go through at least two separate middlemen who, in addition, are well-aware of the products' relative scarcity and the high demand in our regions, and all this hikes up the prices.
    If you lived in China, you'd be likely able to purchase these for like half the local price or so.
    Just on the side; given my personal experiences with the Chinese market, even this price is, however, quite a lot on their market for a 4-inch action figure. High-end 6 or 7-inch figs normally cost there just under £20 (tax included).

      Makes a lot of sense. Everything Games Workshop is so expensive.

    Those nozzles of the backpack actual;ly rotate, so they are NOT glued in place. To date I have bought 100+ of the Joy Toy WH40K figures (and counting) including the Dreadnoughts, Raider Bikes, Thunder Wolf, Squighog, ATV etc, and like ALL toy lines you can get unlucky with an odd QC issues - I've had about 3 cases on an odd Marine, however I live in Australia & my seller in China is reliable & obtains spare replacement parts direct from Joy Toy (JT are known for providing spares). I also collect the McFarlane WH40K range, but they will sadly never match what JT will produce.
    I found hot water solves 90% of my action figure problems, be they Hasbro, Mattel, Bandai, Mafex etc.

      You are correct, the 2nd one I bought, had no issues rotating the vents. The first one I tried hard, but wasn't confident they were supposed to rotate (forgive me, Joy Toy Newbie). But loving it now

    You can turn the backpack things, if it's not lining up you can turn them and line them up

    Hope we get more of the macfarlane series figures, Does not look like we are getting anything yet for 2023, His website shows warhammer stuff up to 2022 only

    • @EvilClownSlayer
      @EvilClownSlayer  Рік тому

      Agreed, not optimistic about the line continuing. I don't follow McFarlane outside of the Warhammer line, but majority of these figures ended up being discounted a lot.

      @jubeibob Рік тому

      Yes! It is crazy to, I was expecting people buying and painting them for their home chapters, heck even playing 5v5 brawls in their living rooms, maybe they just made more than expected. what is spooky is i do not think any was made after the ones for the video game.@@EvilClownSlayer

    • @EvilClownSlayer

      Yeah, your correct. The dark tide were the last ones released. In my opinion, the only artist proof figures they should have made were generic space marines (no chapter symbols). Maybe different weapon, or armors each wave. I don't believe there is a large enough fan base for all the other factions for someone to want to paint. plus the space marines are probably the least intimidating to paint. Let's cross our fingers for more later on, before I buy too many joytoys... Lol

      @jubeibob Рік тому

      Im not touching those joytoys, two rich for my blood. good idea , maybe from now on just do artist proofs? Or do they need to keep selling the painted ones for entry level/normies? That battle sister custom you made was freaking fantastic looking @@EvilClownSlayer

    Yeah my model doesnt have any joints falling off like that, they're pretty sturdy. Although I own the newer design which could be the reason.
