Bought it some days back, and like to buy again. Its brilianty beautiful flashlight. Good throwing beam, easy to use, lovely runtime and with a very pocket friendly price.
Hell yes. Fenix was experimenting with this light and it’s a sleeper, a true hidden gem. The unique tailcap and 40k candela is awesome. Bought a second for when (not if) they discontinue it.
nope it aint a gem. the nitecore mh12se has better throw, more candela, more lumens and a better battery (21700). the nitecore also weights the same and has same dimensions. so there is no reason to carry a 18650 if its not lighter than 21700. it loses in all categories.
@@the_nma5119 In my experience the nitecore mh12se is a great light, no doubt. But these two lights are very different to compare. Firstly, the Fenix PD32 is completely functional from the tail switch. whereas the Nitecore must be used with the side switch in tandem with the tail switch. Also, in my experience, the nitecore mh12se gets hotter quicker than the PD32. I am not saying the PD32 is better, and i am not saying the nitecore is better, but i do agree with MrExcane that the PD32 V2.0 is a hidden gem. Just so you know as well, The Nitecore MH12SE was my daily use light for over a year, so i know exactly what it is and what it isn't. And i really love it!! Thanks for your comment mate, I appreciate the engagement
@@flashlightcrazy you made some great points. the mh12se does get hot quick on turbo. if the olight warrior x 3 wasnt so heavy or they made a smaller version of that same flashlight i would not carry anything else. what i dont like about fenix is that they almost never try new stuff out. always same flashlight V1 then V2,V3 etc..
Thanks Mike! True, this is a hidden gem. I have it for a year now, love the compact size, great throw and the simplicity. The "silent clicky" is a bit strange first (I prefer the normal ones), but the UI is fantastic! No need for a second switch (why has the PD35R two buttons? To avoid changing modes accidentally?), all in one button, just three well spaced distinguishable modes, you always know which is on. Please compare the modes/beamshots of the PD32 v2.0 and the PD35R! Or at least tell your impression.
I will do a comparison with those two lights when i have some time. But my observation is the PD35R is still a better light, but for the money, the PD32 is simple, easy to use, and very effective
Your 100% right! This is actually the Gen3 pd32 not sure why they are calling it V2 as I have had all three! This torch is definitely an underrated gem in the Fenix lineup and because the torch comes with NO battery people tend to overlook it which is a lame error on Fenix part! The osram diode just flat out kicks ass!!
Hey guys, I’m thinking of picking up the PD32R as well, I hear they’ve changed the tail switch from the PD32V2 (made it even more silent). My question to you is, does the new version tail stand?
I just bought the brand new PD32R. Fantastic flashlight. 135 mm, 1400 lumens and 29588 candela is great for me, powerful with autonomy (for self defense and multy daily purpose), silent tail switch. The usb port is no more with the rubber band, better protection (you have to unscrew). We often talk about the PD36 (great one too) but this PD32 true hidden gem, i agree
for 20 dollars less you can buy nitecore p23I. same led emitter but more candela and better build. you get a stainless steel head and striking bezels. on the fenix you get nothing.
@@sc6802 Thanks for the comment bro. I look forward to reviewing the Wf26r but i dont know of the surefire outdoorsman to be honest, we dont have much surefire here in Aus
This flashlight has the best size to hotspot ratio for EDC. Been carrying it for 8 months. And it never turns on in my pocket.
I have this light and love it! Its running the kick ass osram emitter! Thanks for the rundown brother!

We need to see the beam shots vs the pd35's
Just picked up the new PD32R today. Love it so far- thanks for the review on the V2
PD32R arrived today. Love the dual springs for both types of 18650s and like that is uses the SFT40 led and 344m throw vs 395m
Not to mention the hidden USB charging port.. No reviews on it yet. Peace out

Why is a battery not included?
Are there batteries out there which should be used instead of those made by Fenix?
Just got this and the tk36r pro. Both are awesome!
Heck yeah they are! Thanks for the comment mate

good video, have you reviewed fenix wf26r ? i looked thru your list.
Not yet, Will be reviewing it in the coming weeks - maybe next week

Good call bro. And maybe a tactical mode setting for instant turbo as well
@@flashlightcrazy They heard me and made ALR-01 Tactical Ring bro. It's very nice.
