The main takeaway should be that champion picks aren't the most important thing for climbing. It's understanding the goals of your champion, your teams, and the enemies. Working towards not only denying the enemies goal (as small as taking a creep when you are ranged) and working towards yours (getting a CS lead through poking your opponent, setting up a freeze because they lack waveclear, or even just staying even in a bad matchup because you can scale)

200% agree. That being said, for ppl who misunderstand, doesn't mean to pick randomly everytime (although you technically could), it means that whatever champ you end up picking after using your brain, taking into consideration the matchups and ally/enemy team comps, maybe even gameplan if you really are big brain. What really will win the game isn't what champ you picked, but what steps you took to make up for the disadvantages of your champ and what you did to make the most of the advantages of your champ. Again, don't troll pick. Please.
@@axoltol5363 You can't detonate E while casting ult, but you can queue detonation as you cast, so Q -> EE -> R will lead to E detonating either on arrival or immediately after you cast R (i don't remember which, but if your Q lands you'll get full combo either way)

Tip for anyone playing lux, lead with E to slow them, making the Q much easier to hit, with autos in between for passive. Think of Brand W with a free Rylai's. Typical combo: E-Auto-Q-Auto-R. Fish with your E, snap it, reposition while they're slowed and then throw out the Q.

As a Lux main, I approve of this tip
It really depends on how consistently you can hit Q because this combo is slower and easier to react to for the enemies(they can dash, flash, etc) while going straight for Q is faster and harder to react to. The passive autos are only really needed in early game to be honest. Mid game to late game you should be strong enough to oneshot from a distance without needing autos.

This would've helped me a lot when i was learning how to predict... Right now all i try to do is to hit one minion and then the champ, it's a common mistake people have, most just forget the q gets two poeple at the same time... I'm thinking this might work in lux supp or late lux mid and supp cuz' of the damage... For early... Meh
I land 90 procent of my q 's, and I do this tip when I'm not sure I can land it . It's actually really good , when you have one of those days with the 2 q's landed :D

This is exactly the video I needed. I'm a Lux main (with Ahri and Akali as side picks) but I struggle winning games on her. I tend to win my lane and if I don't win I survive, am always at the top of dmf chart, have high cs and 60%+KP but is SO rarely translates to wins it has made me wanna quit Lux. I feel like she has no 1v9 potential and she's so easy to shut down or threaten.
This video made me wanna try to change my perspective. Ty very much for the video and dw your lux is pretty solid no matter what you say :P
This was a super useful video for showing how to hard carry without.... Doing things that were impossible to do for normal ppl. There is one thing when someone lands all skill shot or does insane plays. This game just showed how important the knowledge of game is. Thank you for sharing ;)

Yeah, in lower elo's they will suicide for lost objectives. I am mechanically horrible so Lux is one of my champions, not immediately detonationg E while running away makes team mates wonder if I don't know how it works, while they apparently don't know I want the slow because I am _running_ . But how it was used in lane for the wave was something I never considered and probably especially useful because this was a melee matchup, so I learned that from this one.
And yeah, mechanically horrible (impossible to change because my brain just can't process some things correctly & fast enough at the same time) means this wining by understanding the game is my best bet
This was very educational, I could never understand why before doing dragon or baron was it imperative to get the scuttle crab. But you explained why. Also very enjoyable too. I'm not that good mechanically (and I play simple champs) but a game plan and thinking about what I want to do (as you did in lane and around objectives) would be enough to beat platinum players and I'm just bronze so...I will improve by working on those that in my games. Thanks

Just goes to show that strong fundamentals and an understanding of the game as a whole is WAAAAAAAY more important than just being a 1 trick god at a character. Can it help to be great at a champ? Certainly! But you can be the 1v2 legend of the world, and it doesn't mean much if you don't know how to capitalize off of your economic and objective lead. Good shit Pek.

hey PekinWoof! idk if you'll see this, but do you think you could make a video sometime about when and how to use abilities on creep waves (and maybe controlling the wave overall, when it's more favorable to freeze/shove/etc)? I know it's kind of a vague topic but in low ELO I see a lot of players using abilities on creeps for no reason (and often running short on mana as a result.) I'm a support main so I don't interact with waves much aside from helping my adc control it, but occasionally I play other roles and I struggle with running the lane, and I think it could help some other people too!

Just a little tip and a fact you can abuse with lux...
No one expects You to land a Q... Why? Idk...
Always find the ways and places where you can throw a Q so its imposible to dodge. Another way of landing it is using the Minions, this works better in midlane, most people just forget that the Q hits two targets so they stand in corners with a minion in front of them just abuse that and land the Q un the Minion so it land on the champ
Last ez and most known tip your w as supp... Always stay a bit away from your adc so if they are taking damage you throw no the shield it hits the adc and comes back at the same time, so you inmediatly give the doble shield, making it very dificult to kill them

do you always start dorans as opposed to corrupting pot? or is it only in specific matchups?
On Lux? Usually start with Dorans. In general, you want to take corrupting pot on champions that can make use of its passive in an all-in (think Jax, Sylas, Fizz, Irelia) if you are at disadvantage in a melee v. ranged matchup and need the sustain, or if you are playing someone that can really punish the enemy with AAs (Orianna, TF). Wouldn’t necessarily recommend on ranged v. ranged matchups tho?

How do you carry when you’re on the other team though? In this Elo the knowledge gap is huge if 1/2 people don’t know to give drags or towers the single handedly lose you the game idk how to overcome that

Why do you start with doran's + 2 pots, instead of corrupting potion with inspiration and biscuits. I think the biscuits cover your mana problems, and on your next back gives you the option of going dark seal + mana crystal or doran's ring. In which situations is one better than the other? I am a silver midlane main, and do not get when I should go into sorcery and D.Ring or inspiration and corrupting pot on champions like annie or Leblanc. I prefer to go corrupting if i am against a melee matchup, cause it allows you to outsustain them and outpoke them.

As a main sup I constantly find mind self having to face check for vision on dragon or baron, a lot of time just after getting the vision down but due to my team backing away we lose our wards, What is the best timing around this objectives to avoid this situations? or What can I do to not find myself so much in that position?

Do you think these things are harder to do if you main AD carry? I mean that's my role, and I sometimes think it's harder to carry because it's a 2v2 lane. But now, I'm not good enough to play mid or top. What advice would you give me on AD carry position? Thanks!
