Absolutely brilliant! I have been watching all of the lampworking videos I can lately. Loren has been the most vocal in his technique and also demonstrating issues that arise and how to overcome them. A picture of his work recently hit reddit/imgur and their reaction to his work was amazing. Being able to see him actually make it is astounding. I would like to thank the Salem College for providing these videos. I can't think of any other way I would ever be able to see the various master lampworkers/ glassblowers that you have featured in your videos.
Its fascinating to me to watch this. I have done polymer clay canes and the method of work, which ofc originally came from lamp working and murine making is still very similar..... although glass ofc has its own technical strictures that must be respected. I'd love to be able to try it with glass, but for now, I'll just enjoy watching masters at work.
+Catarina Zidde Don't ask a glass artist if they've burned themselves, ask them how many times. I'm up to 20, but I've only been doing it for 12 years.
fire burns, glass cuts. when you understand that, you work with understanding of safety, and try and not get hurt. Burns, and cuts waste time and hurt, so we try to avoid damage. Great video Salem college. blessings
thank you sir
