This live is during their album showcase so the first rows are reserved for the press. Hence the couple empty seats. The fans are seated in the back. And I wouldn't say this is exactly 'early' SHINee. At this point they are almost 5 years into their career and at the height of their popularity.
This was written by TVXQ’s Max Changmin and he composed it with the thought of 5 members 🎈❤ TVXQ used to be a 5-member group but SHINee did this song justice with their marvelous singing 💎💙
I clicked on the video bc I’ve never heard this song before. I love Shinee but do not know all their songs. No auto tune needed here, Shinee are all great singers!
Love this reaction. I just subscribed. Yep, SHINee has always had it. If you watch their first concert you would swear they were a veteran group. Simply incredible. Thanks for reacting to them.
Something about second and half of third gen kpop is that they really, REALLY focused on the vocals. Not to say that singers nowadays don't know how to sing, cause a lot of them can! However, I think kpop has transitioned into an industry that prioritizes dance and music - or on how cool and crazy a performance is - over the vocal ability and agility. I'm not talking about how high people can sing, or how high they can belt. I'm talking about vocal acrobats - and using the voice's ability to convey emotions through the riffs and belts. As much as I live simple vocals, I miss hearing riffs and runs in kpop.
Their vocals are so different from each other...but they sound amazing together.
