I can’t tell you how much I love these monster movies. I’m a 58-year-old man that grew up watching these monster movies and I’m so happy that they’re coming back. Am I the only one that would love to see a remake of the war of the Gargantuas
It has to be a plain monster that fits well enough with the tone of Yamazaki’s story and is balanced well with Godzilla as a villain. I’m thinking Anguirus or Kumonga
I think the Godzilla Minus One sequel would probably be more like Godzilla vs. Megaguirus were Godzilla fights another giant monster but keeping Godzilla as a villain at the same time, while the human who are strongly affected by the deaths and destruction Godzilla is causing have to come up with new and inventive ways to stop Godzilla.
I think a balance with the importance of a human story with the spectacular of monster battle will be extremely different because monster battles are treated as the main event by everyone.
I would love to see Anguirus in the sequel, a modern version of Raids Again would be great. I recently read the novellas of 1954 and Raids Again and I really enjoyed it!
Same here! I think a monster like Anguirus would be perfect! I'd also be down for Rodan because we've never had a proper Godzilla VS Rodan film and he deserves more love. He's the most over looked of the big 5. Always there, always under used.
I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but I want Toho and Yamazaki to revisit the beginning of the Heisei Era with Biollante. I think that the mixing of Noriko and Godzilla's DNA could result with Biollante (don't know how they could get a rose though). It was just an interesting thought I imagined would be fun to tackle.
If I had to pick a classic Godzilla monster to be in the minus one sequel then it would definitely be biollante but if Noriko did actually die during the Ginza attack of minus one then id pick anguirus or rodan or maybe both
I'd also be down for Rodan because we've never had a proper Godzilla VS Rodan film and he deserves more love. He's the most over looked of the big 5. Always there, always under used.
I want to see a Godzilla movie that has a perfect blend between monster and human action so badly. Personally I would love see Hedorah next because she's my #1 pending villain but I would not be upset if we got Anguirus or Rodan either. Just bring attention to monsters that casuals don't know about because they only know the one's shown in the Monsterverse. 😭 Also apparently Takashi met with Kevin Feige and I know this doesn't solidify a Godzilla vs Avengers crossover but imagine if they worked on a film together. Our guy is making it up in the big leagues!
I would love to see a Showa godzilla serious reboot series. We really don’t need a Godzilla vs Kong (for obvious reasons), but a reworked Godzilla vs mothra would be awesome.
I think it would be cool if Anguirus was the monster Godzilla fought in the sequel. Would be a nice callback to Godzilla Raids Again and it’s nice to see Anguirus be Godzillas opponent again instead of his friend like he usually is
I want to see this version of Godzilla fight other monsters, however… Its going to be hard to capture the same level of depth or drama. As much as I love the classic movies, Minus One was such an amazing emotional piece. I think Mothra, Rodan, Baragon, Varan, or Anguiras would be best. More down to earth mosnters, as it were. Hedorah is too sci-fi, as are the giant bugs, Ghidorah, Mecha-Godzilla, etc. I think they can do it right, if they don’t rush it and keep focused on telling another compelling story
Personally I hope that they give a lot of these monsters their own film first before they go up against Godzilla (if it were up to me I wouldn't even have Godzilla return to a few films in as a built up villain that would return)
Godzilla vs. a larger Green Gargantua. Both villains competing against the land and sea. Then again....to some it may be looked at as Godzilla vs. Kong.
A Minus 1 monster battle would be cool. I'm just that with his super regeneration there won't be much tension. It's why I've come to dislike the Legendary Godzilla. He's just so freaking strong and durable that nothing can convincingly challenge him. But perhaps the writers of Minus 1 will come up with a work around.
The sequel needs to be a mix of Raids Again and Godzilla ‘84 Anguirus and Rodan should absolutely play roles in this film to continue the theme of prehistoric beasts that become abominations due to man’s folly and mishandling with nuclear energy. The theme of these monsters having folklore could be revisited too because Godzilla shouldn’t be an isolated incident as far as dinosaurs/monsters go. Manda and Ebirah would also be good additions too and Gotengo can take the place of the Super X. Anguirus can be the by product of his natural food source getting exposed to nuclear radiation. Since he is a burrowing Kaiju he can feed on the cryptid species of Mongolian death worms and eventually he tears apart pieces of China or Russia Rodan can be effected the same way by some type of Kamakarus giant bug Kaiju. The original Rodan film had the Rodans feasting on giant bugs so this brings it back to source material in a legitimate way. Ebirah and Manda if added could have fed on the corpse of minus one Godzilla and mutated progressively. Movie could be set in the midst of Korean War to add to Cold War tensions The idea for theme also is the idea of a nuclear bomb causing a chain reaction that destroys the world because it’s spreads across the atmosphere setting it on fire. Godzilla could have just been the first of the chain reaction that plagues humanity for playing God. The Kaiju clashing is natural due to alpha predators dynamics like established in the Legendary Monsterverse The director Takashi Yamazaki I believed mentioned interest in Hedorah which would be interesting to see too.
I hope we get a returning monster for what i assume will be G-2 (& also for GXK3 but that's a diffrazione case). Hedorah is the one monster i want to see the most, she's amazing and would love to see her with modern cgi.
It'd be an insane, but awesome ending in a possible third movie to have Shikishima piloting Mechagodzilla alongside Godzilla, Mothra and possibly Kong against another Kaiju, like maybe Ghidorah.
I’m hoping Shikishima’s daughter Akiko grows and to pilot a Kiryu like Mechagodzilla to avenge her adopted mother’s (Noriko) sudden death after she dies cuz of that G cell in her neck.
OK guys I have a question for you. Which monster would you pick if they did a new solo movie within the same universe as Minus One with Yamazaki directing it?
Im betting either hedorah or biollante as those make the most sense but I’d love to see an original monster. I could see an argument for rodan as well considering he is a dinosaur and they could retcon him into the story quite easily but we’ll have to see.
If they went the route similar to Godzilla vs Biollante I would alright with the minus one sequel as to me it felt that the human story was tied into the monsters despite there being little monster fights I think it did a good job and trying and maybe if we do get Godzilla Minus One sequel either titled Minus 0 or just Godzilla Zero maybe we can get the film bringing up past events along with the characters having some PTSD if they learned that Godzilla returned.
Please no more King Ghidorah, Rodan, Mothra and Mechagodzilla those guys are severely overused let’s have another toho monster or even a new monster for once!
I mostly agree. I'd be down for Rodan because we've never had a proper Godzilla VS Rodan film and he deserves more love. He's the most over looked of the big 5. Always there, always under used. But I really would like a new monster.
@@kasaibouF29then that wouldn’t be yamazaki’s idea it would be toho’s idea because toho is way too biased to the big 5 because of how much money they attract
True. Skip those guys (give Rodan his own film) and let Yamazaki do Hedorah, which he's said he'd like to pit against Godzilla. And bring Anguirus back as G's frenemy... in order to give Godzilla a chance to develop as a character we can empathize with, without making him too anthropomorphic nor too goofy.
Here is my title for the Godzilla minus one sequel which would be called Godzilla vs Hedorah: Ground Zero' this is pretty much what I think it will be, just have to wait and see? Also I think it will take place sometime starting around in the year 1950 and then goes to 1951 where the rest of it takes place within the sequel.
I'm not sure if I like the idea of Minus One fighting another monster. Godzilla Raids Again is a good example of why not. Also, if you look at Godzilla's chest at the end of Minus One after the beams of radiation start to exit out of his body, you'll see the Minus One G logo.
It’s too early for gigan, ghidorah, space goji, or biolante. Prob to early for megalon and it wouldn’t make sense for Mecha g to be in this sequel, It will probably be Angurious or Hedorah. I would personally want Hedorah too be in the sequel because I think angurious would not be a big enough threat. And hedorah has not made an appearance in a live action film for 20 years along with angurious. IDK, it might be Rodan, mothra, or maybe angurious
I'd also be down for Rodan because we've never had a proper Godzilla VS Rodan film and he deserves more love. He's the most over looked of the big 5. Always there, always under used. But personally, i want a new monster
Godzilla fighting something else in minus two would not make sense, the factors being that godzilla is the only shown kaiju in minus one, giving us no spoilers of another kaiju. Then, we got the fact godzilla ONLY wants to have revenge on humanity.
Him fighting another monster the way minus one looked would be insane!!!
I know! It'll be awesome!
Literally any monster in Minus-1 quality would be amazing
YEP!
Did you go to the voting station?I want Godzilla to defeat monster Trump lol🃏🦖
Gabara?
Varan would be neat considering he's one of those 50s Toho kaiju
Yap!Gabara will be revived with Godzilla cells in 4 years!🦖

War of the Gargantuas would be epic!!!
One of my favorite non-Gojira movies Toho made! This 55-year-old man couldn't agree with you more on this one.
Hurry up, before Russ Tamblyn dies!😂
Would love to see it whether a Toho remake or them being used in Monsterverse
Also, I would love to see a remake of giant robot With of course Johnny Socko
It has to be a plain monster that fits well enough with the tone of Yamazaki’s story and is balanced well with Godzilla as a villain. I’m thinking Anguirus or Kumonga

Pre-nuke Godzilla is one hell of a specimen, imagine if he was caught & studied by scientists after the war.
I think a balance with the importance of a human story with the spectacular of monster battle will be extremely different because monster battles are treated as the main event by everyone.

@@DMan1954 OHHHHH I would love to see Yamazaki's take on an aerial battle with fighter planes taking on Rodan!
I can already imagine Godzilla finishing his opponent off with his signature Boom Boom Blast breath 🗿

It should be a remake of 1984+Biollante
I want Varan to come back he needs a lot of love. but realistically Angurius would be good choice to have Godzilla fight against.
WSG damn!! Let’s hear it!!! I’d love to see another kaiju!!

I just hope they stick with the tone of Godzilla Minus One and don't make it ridiculous.

Woop woop 🙌
Lots of people are hoping for Anguirus.
It would be a massive throwback to 1955 if they did

@@INFERNO95 I’m just kinda interested in a more grounded but spiritual mothra story.

Anguirus is the only foe worthy. He deserves to be in the spotlight.
True that!
Godzilla vs. a larger Green Gargantua. Both villains competing against the land and sea. Then again....to some it may be looked at as Godzilla vs. Kong.
I'm all for it!
The next movie they should go old school. Introduce Anguirus and Mothra.
Bring on the sequel... Godzilla: Ground Zero
Fans will hate it, critics will love it.
Fans are dumb. Go watch another stupid jokey Monsterverse movie. Omg deres another ancient rival in da Hollow Earf.
Could be reversed

The Math is simple: Godzilla -1 +1 = Godzilla (Monster) Zero. It MUST be Astro-Monster aka Monster Zero aka KING GIDORA
