I love how Yusuke doesn't argue about whether he is dumb or not when Boton calls him dumb when he was trying to learn the spirit gun. He just says 'Being dumb has nothing to do with it!' He is self aware at least.
He is dumb, it is known 🤣
The Hate this Live Action gets doesn't even make sense.
The only problem everyone can agree on is that there should had been MORE episodes bc it's Actually Good.
The only reason to hate on this Live Action is bc you're looking way too deep & way too Critical about it.
Ain't no way this is less than 7/10.
Especially knowing that their Budget guaranteed doesn't come close to Hollywood's budget. #Season2Pls
I agree I think it’s amazing tbh
Episode 3 is where I understand the anger.. because it definitely upset me a little bit. The pacing complaints were lost on me until that one.
(To be clear, I really reeeally liked this. I was so relieved my baby didn't get ruined by a live action.)
From my initial expectations I’m beyond amazed and happy with how they went about this. One piece then this, I hope it continues down this road.
My favorite part is this. One Piece got the story and the world right, but was a bit meh on the fights. This got the anime fights right, but missed a tiny bit on the story(e3 mostly). Get the best of both and we have perfection.
That said, they did leave room to revisit those arcs they skipped or fused in a different way if they make a s2. Saint beast arc, Rando(somehow), 3 kings, Sensui, could all be future seasons if it does well.
We agree 100%
i just love how they paced it. it really does keep the interest of those who haven’t seen the anime. the fight scenes, never been this hyped with fight scenes. they did so well with the choreos.
If you're curious about who was in charge of the fight choreography, the action director of this series is Ouchi Takahito (大内 貴仁)!
He is also the action director of the HiGH&LOW franchise and the stunt coordinator of the Rurouni Kenshin live-action movies. Netflix has actually uploaded a making-of video that includes him talking about the stunts & action work in this live action series (Making of Yu Yu Hakusho: The Characters | MAKINGFLIX | Netflix)!
When I saw hei fight scene i thought there is familiar moves from rurouni kinshin, that slide, my spiculation is right
Hiei is so dope
Kurama fused with the soul of the human egg he hijacked. So Kurama is not fully the demon, or the human, but a fusion of the two, including the human's soul and some of the personality traits it would have had.
That’s so crazyyyyyyy
No, that's not how Hiei got his eye. He always had it in the anime. The sword was sopose to cut things and turn them into demon in the anime / manga, but the live action it a dagger with different abilitie.
I am so happy im not the only kne who notice the hair being perfect from the back! 😂
Gotta remember, neither Kurama nor Yusuke's "human" per se. Who knows what half of their lives would be actually in demon years lol
Kurama is close to a thousand years old overall.
Let’s goooooo
I didn't mind the change for how Hiei got his eye. It's a great story, but I feel if Hiei could do it himself, he absolutely would have.
Same I don’t care either
This change was something that actually bothered me initially. After a little more thinking about it, I came to a similiar conclusion as you but also realized his motivation for getting the jagan eye was still the same: finding his sister.
So at the end of the day, this change really doesn't change anything about his character.
@@kattastrophe7240 It depends if there will be more episodes later if Hiei will fight Shigure.
How Hiei got the jagan eye did not get revealed until episode 100 or 101, and it was 100% not self-inflicted. This was something that initially bothered me. I don't think we'll ever get the arc it's revealed in adapted, so I've kind of come to accept it. His *motive* for the eye is still the same though- finding his sister. There is one other thing Hiei uses the conjuring blade for that I'm still trying to decide my feelings on, but it's not in this episode so I won't mention it.
Choosing a "best cast" is a really hard question. I've finished the five episodes, and I feel like every character we see in this was perfectly cast if I'm being honest. I feel like everyone showed up and embodied their characters so damn well. Shuhei did a phenomenal job as Kuwabara; I'd be lying if I didn't say he stands out... but also Sakyo. I can't figure out if it's because they sort of switched his and Tarukane's roles in the story around and bolstered his part up more than it originally was- or if the actor was just that damn good. (I'm thinking it's both.)
Speaking of... Sakyo was one of the club called on by Tarukane to place bets, not the one to invite Tarukane. It's one of the changes I noticed near immediately. Sure, he was ultimately the one pulling strings- but that's not revealed till after the fact. It's an interesting change they made for the live action, but it's one I think worked really well. (He also had no connection to Yukina's capture. Tarukane had her from the get-go from what I can remember.)
They have everything in perfect swing, too bad why only 5 episodes, its a waste to be honest whats the point in making it if dark tournament is cut
cant wait for your next episodes reacts
Working on it now!
That jagan eye part, Hiei got it from Shigure, actually. But, let us all asumed that this live action has a new plot of stories so we can enjoy the show 😁 I've read the mangas and watched the anime series, too, but I think I give the live action series 8.5/10. 😁
❤

the subtitle is different than the one I watch
That’s weird, Where are you from?
The one part that kind of irritated me was that in the original the mirror decided not to take any lives considering how pure their wishes were and here we have them both sacrificing half their life? Ok Kurama is a demon and Yusuke is well also a demon somewhat, but still. Other than that I really enjoyed this episode.
Guys no more reaction until episode 5?
Episode 3 nxt
Yessir
As of today I’m waiting🥹
