I am Kaede, 24 years old and working as a nurse in Japan. I used to play hockey for 19 years. I grew up watching her game and always wanted to be like her as a hockey player. I retired my hockey career when I started working as a nurse which is two years ago which is during the pandemic. It’s been really hard days not only for me but also for all of us. But she always makes my days worth it. I am proud of what I am doing My dream is working with her as a medical worker!!
This woman is now both an Assistant Manager and an Doctor, she is an Amazing human being, our Young guys will learn tons from both her and Jason Spezza, this is insanity, so many Gold Medal Accomplishments, four of them, that's mind blowing.
Hayley is honestly the best. So happy she is part of the Leafs organization, because she is so intelligent and bring so much effort and commitment to everything she sets out to accomplish in life. We are all proud of you Hayley and wish you nothing but the best in whatever you want to achieve in your life.
Very nice piece. An inspiration quite frankly. When I coached and managed I stressed to the players that through hockey and sport there are life lessons to be learned that you will carry with you throughout life. Ms Wickenhieser's story is testimony to that fact. In todays economic times its is ever more concerning that hockey is a wealthy persons sport and that is very sad.
Exactly what “life skills” you think kids learn from hockey? You would be hard pressed to find a dumber group of individuals than ex hockey players with a few exceptions. Most end up lucky if they get a job at the beer store. I guess everyone regardless of their economic position should be able to play hockey?? How about golf or tennis? That too? Every kid should just be handed a free tennis coach?? Or a golf membership? Why not every factory worker gets a free Ferrari?? What world you live in?? Sad statements.
You seen what most of the look like?? You could take an allstar team of ex nhlers over 70 years old and they would beat canadian womans olympic hockey team……soundly. Womens hockey is laughable.
@@richardbas7574 How many times has Team Canada have been winning gold so many years ago? It's because of her that this happened. You don't know how professional she can be do you?
@@tonychen3368 hahahahaha….Haley wickenheiser is a fraud bro……i could buy and sell her many times over from a wealth perspective. Womens hockey is irrelevant. They play ringette not hockey. 70 year old retired men or 12 year old boy triple A teams could beat womens olympic hockey team. It a joke. Pretend hockey.
I don't know what made you think that it was ok to comment that, but it wasn't. It wasn't funny or interesting. You're not edgy. She's a 4 time Olympic gold medal winner. Put some respect on that.

Not that I agree with your comment, just pointing out the silliness of it.
