Say if I were the first generation of chromosome fusion, how could I pass this feature to my offsprings? chromosome number difference will cause reproduction failure, will it? Unless more than one individual have had chromosome fusion, this feature will not be passed down to offsprings to eventually evolve into a new species

Think about parents to people with trisomi 21: One parent gives 23 kromosomes while the other parent gives 24. No problem :o)
