TADAA!!! SO. EPISODE 13 HUH?! HUH!!?!?! Okay like Toei actually went off last week I was already freaking out about World Trigger S3 13 being an absolute visual and pacing masterpiece and then Digimon Ghost Game comes in as is like 'WE AIN'T DONE WITH YOU YET'. Toei I forgive you for your crimes against World Trigger S1 due to both of last week's eps.
I started watching this with my sister at the start of her winter break and I was like YES. YES I LOVE DIGIMON. THIS. I LOVE THIS. But then we had to wait 2 weeks between ep 12 and ep 13 which was….PAIN. Every few days we were like '….ghost game when :/' We ended up watching Applimon in between that time since we hadn't watched that season yet….which was a whiplash for tone when we came back to Ghost Game 13 haha and ghost game 13 fueled are digimon love so much we decided to rewatch 02.
ANYWAY TALKING ABOUT THE ACTUAL EP HUH

BUT THEN - HE HE DID THE THING? HE KILLED EM? I MEAN YEAH SEALSDRAMON DESERVED IT [aaaas far as we know in the story so far like unless something comes up which means idk mind control or smth] . But seriously though 1000 mon kill count? BRUH?
ALSO HIRO. TRUE PROTAGONISM. MY GUY. He was shocked at first but was like YEAH GULUS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED. And him rushing in from of everyone...CORRECT. That's the protagonist I like to see. CONTINUE.
and going back a bit I thought it was really cool how when you had dark evolutions for Tai and Takato it was their rage (along with their digimons ) that caused the dark evolution but they subverted that expectation this time because Gammamon was the one going rogue and then affected Hiro and gave him a headache....very very cool. OH OH and speaking of the headache in this season I found it weird how the kids got the attack move and then said it and the digimon did it which is not the usual but then in this one Gulus looks at Hiro whodoes get the command in his head presumably since that's the similar bg to when he needs to get the move name but then Hiro's just in painand doesn't say it....and Gulus is alright fine then I'll say it myself....they're trying something here with that huh...I see....I sEEee
AND THEN? GAMMAMON CRYING ALKSD Gammamon being at child stage and sounding like a proper child crying broke me lmao I cried when I went to rewatch the scene of him crying to edit this video…HOW DARE YOU MAKE A BABY CRY LIKE THAT
So yeah I wanted to choose an angsty ass song for it and I remembered Rainych has a cover of Unravel and was like BINGO that's it (Miyako influence whoop) because she's got a cute voice like how Gammamon is cute and then goes full soul piercing scream just like Gammamon. It was meant to be.
Hiro, Ruli and Senpai are a great trio btw, I feel like they've got a good balance together. Senpai might be my fave though cause he's hilarious…I totally expected something different out of his character design but the direction they took with it is 10/10 highly recommend. Also all the partner digimon are also 10/10. I want to hug Angoramon he is so big and fluffy. Jellymon is funny and Gammamon is a cutie baby…(well…he was HAHAHAHA)
Will I love this season as much as Xros Wars? POTENTIALLY!!! It could even surpass my love of xros wars….though honestly I need to rewatch a bunch of the other seasons to see how I feel about em now too. Aaaand I need to finish Reboot 2020 which I left like a third of the way through lmao
I may or may not edit more ghost game throughout the year…..we shall see. (lol at this point it is a high probability hahaha)

I WAS LITERALLY TELLING A FRIEND A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE THIS EP AIRED "I WONDER HOW GHOST GAME WILL BREAK OUR HEARTS" AND I DID NOT EXPECT IT TO DO THAT THIS EARLY I WASN'T PREPARED AND I AM STILL IN PAIN. I HAVE A HUGE FRONTIER BIAS SO I WAS VERY ATTACHED TO BOKOMON FROM THE START AND I REALLY DIDN'T EXPECT ANYTHING BAD TO HAPPEN TO HIM... THIS EP WAS SO WELL DONE THOUGH. GAMMAMON EVOLVING ON HIS OWN AND HIS DARK EVOLUTION HAVING AN ACTUAL PERSONALITY AND... EVERYTHING WAS JUST SO GOOD.
ANYWAY THIS AMV!!! THIS SONG IS WAY TOO FITTING OMG ESPECIALLY THOSE LAST 15 SECONDS? AND YOU EDITED IT BEAUTIFULLY AS ALWAYS AAAAAA ;o;

a coward chosen child with a demanding digimon partner is one of the best decisions they have ever made ever.
ahahaha the good thing about digimon is that they have such varied seasons that they have something for everyone! if we're counting everything I really 7 our of 10 seasons which is like...a pretty good record for such a long franchise (the three I don't love being tri, applimon and reboot, again though reboot I haven't watched fully). Hope you have fun if you do plan on watching some of the rest~
