  • Please note you DO NOT have to completely remove your shock and sub-frame to remove the carburetor. You can get away with simply removing the top sub frame bolts and muffler, then tilt down the sub-frame and pull the boot off the carburetor. I removed everything to get clear access to the carburetor in order to adjust my AP timing screw.

It's been a long time since I removed the carb on my 08 WR250F but it seems like I was able to tilt the subframe up without having to completely remove it. Of course, that was almost 10 years ago so my memory is a little fuzzy.

You're correct. After doing it a few more times I realized you can take that shortcut. I had to go the long route in order to adjust my accelerator pump timing screw in this video. Thanks for pointing that out!

Good video. Thanks for not rambling on about your dog or ex wife or whatever like a lot of UA-camrs do. You got right to the point!

On my 2013 WR250F I just lifted up the sub-frame and pulled the carby thru, didn’t need to disconnect everything.
Cheers for the vid mate 👌🤙

Thanks, could not get it in or out for the life of me. Pulling the sub frame really helps.

How were you able to get both throttle cables back onto the throttle wheel? I can't get mine back on no matter what I try.
    Thanks, Ryan

Thread in the top cable all the way while leaving the bottom unattached from the carburetor body. Attach the top cable to the wheel, then attach the bottom and pull the black cable housing back so it slides into it's little groove in the carb. body.

Start mowing some lawns around the neighborhood... you'll have enough money to buy one used before too long ;)
