Several upgrades have taken place since our last communication with the Community. Firstly, the Pilot Client is now a standalone interface that runs independently from the simulator (much needed for ethernet connection from another computer). Also, we have added several new features to facilitate communication on-board. For example, pilots can now use the built-in Auto UNICOM tool and they can enable dual text reception (RX) on two different frequencies. We have implemented an enhanced Datalink ATIS in order to manage ATIS information on a separate window. We have successfully implemented the highly-anticipated cockpit sharing feature, and the Pilot Client is now 64-bit-compatible (for Prepar3D®) as well as 4k-screen compatible.
IVAO Members are also able to use the new forum boards to suggest new features and provide developers with feedback. A dedicated team of DevOps staff will be in charge of monitoring the Forum boards, collecting feedback and providing user support. This is will allow IVAO developers to build better software and make decisions that meet and exceed members’ expectations.

As a long time IVAO member (VID: 190XXX) and X-Plane user I was disappointed with the slow development of new state of the art and unified software. 3 Month ago I reactivated my VATSIM account, as they released xPilot and their new voice codec. 70% of my flights are now on VATSIM, depending on ATC availability. IVAO Altitude is the first step in the right direction, now get rid of Teamspeak 2 and introduce something standalone. I will fully commit to IVAO again.
The sound with ATC was not shown at all, this should be the most important! None a single word... But instead a lot of unnecessary information.
When I saw it yesterday, there were 900 subscribers. Now 1200 this is very good. We're looking forward to 2500.

Do we need team speak to communicate with ATC? I thought that the new client was to have integrated voice comms
Lets make a communication software for pilots and controllers using text like real pilots do. Almost 2020 IVAO, really ?

See my comment above. Teamspeak 2 is working properly. Why to change on teamspeak 3 ? TS3 is really really expensive unless you want to make donation ?Again this a beta version, not an official released version.
@@iansolo24100 i doesn't speak "change to TS3" Just see the another networking, they use the pilot client for communications too.. why IVAO do same? TS2 is very bad for communications (my opinion) but, you said, is a BETA..

@@iansolo24100 Well , TS2 is really old software nowadays . Look at VATSIM and their superb voice codec built in . You don't need any TS young boy .
45 y/o boy...he he, thanks 😁👍 No Really....once you have tried the new Vatsim built-in voice and codec, you dont want to go back to unreaslitic voice as TS2. You dont want to write on Unicom, especially not when you are flying a fully enclosed Cockpit, you just transmit on unicom because only those close to you are able to hear you. I was just hoping for something similar on IVAO. But right now they cannot claim to have the best software - at least not the pilotclient......But lets cross our fingers for a future development 🤞 But until then....I am to be found on the "dark side" 😉😁
I'm with Bjarne, I'll stick with VATSIM. They're waay ahead of you guys at IVAO. Sorry guys...
Hello Sir, glad to see we have a new pilot client but I have some questions.
Do we need to uninstall IVAP prior to use this new client?
Does this new client use the IVAP MTL build and updater?
Does this new client reauire any tweaking within the .dll's and .cfg's?

How can I toggle Pilot Client in X-plane? Should I Open Sim in window Mode? Is this some shortcut?
i get in msfs 2020 6-7 fps less than i am offline that only than when i go online with ivao altidude how can i fix it ?
On the latest version (18b) I'm having the frequency frozen on 136.975mhz and makes it impossible to change/switch. Anyone experiencing the same issue?
Pilot's Client not connecting even after many reinstalling processes, it stucks on simulator address/authorization code! Only way is mantain the old and good Ivap...
I'm sorry IVAO, but VATSIM is two step ahead from you... Remove that TS2 and get an audio codec please, this looks like a graphic update only...
What is the key to pop up the software ?
Like with the Ivap it was Ctrl + F9.

Can I use Altitude with the neu MFS2020?

Okay, so basically you just need to put the same IP Adress and the Authorization code as him, and it works for me.

ivao is the key and the address is 127.0.0.1 if you're running on the same machine as the sim. But yeah, it's confusing and there's no documentation on this.
You lost me at filing the flight plan. I'm playing in a flight simulator, I'm not learning for a degree in radio communications...
EDIT: I installed the pilot app and I was disappointed to see it still uses teamspeak. And the irony is it sounds worse than vatsim.
