I find coffee actually helps me with more than just not feeling tired. I am both autistic and I have ADHD but I find if I drink one or two cups of coffee per day, I have ZERO, I repeat ZERO brain fog. I like the flavor of coffee and I try to only get it from organic, fair trade sources. I actually have experimented by going to work without coffee versus WITH coffee and my productivity levels WITH caffeine are significantly better than without. Without coffee, everything people say to me just sounds like an explosion of information but WITH coffee, my brain has a much easier time organizing information that is presented to me. I think for those who can go without coffee, do it! But for those who find that coffee improves daily function, keep drinking it! I need it for focus! Glad to hear what you think about this. I quit coffee a couple of months ago and I feel so much better. Tea does not effect me so much and provides a precursor to make dopamine 😊😊😊.
Caffeine helps me focus and concentrate. Before caffeine it’s hard to keep focused. After caffeine I’m very focused. Probably ADHD but I’m not a fan of meds for ADHD

I live on coffee. I am ADHD and I can feel the difference moments after a cup. I can also sleep within minutes after drinking a pot. It doesn't affect my sleep at all but I assume it is affecting my blood flow
Based on info from Matthew Walker (sleep scientist), the sleep quality (and thereby some/many of its benefits) gets wrecked by caffeine regardless of how long we might sleep or how deep we may think the sleep was, if we drink it too late in the day (less than 8-10 hours before bedtime).
I was addicted to caffeine (tea). I used to had very bad migraine if I'd skip tea one day. Then I stopped drinking tea as I decided to not let something control me. Since that day, I don’t take caffeine. Now my sister is facing the same problem. She can't spend one day without tea or she's gonna have a bad migraine day.
There’s fibre and polyphenols In coffee. It’s been reported that up to 3 cups a day leads to a slight increased longevity. Wasn’t a fan for decades but now I am.
For me i need caffiene in the morning. Could be coffee, or no sugar citrus energy that has lots of Vitamin B's. I found i can not handle the cold beverages with green coffee berries, and a different natural stimulant called yerbe-mate, messes my stomach and i feel like my body is vibrating and not able to focus. There are more natural plant stimulants that at this time i can not remember their names. Best to read label ingrediants because various stimulants are only mentioned in the back in tiny print list of ingredients. Everyone has different genetics, brain chemistry and metabolism, and this changes in everyone at different ages (hormones changes, from little to flooding to slowly diminishing in all sex genders)
Green tea makes me jittery. I'm probably allergic to it. On the other hand, I love coffee. I stopped drinking coffee several times in my life but always came back to it. Love coffee ;)
My granddad drinks at least 3 cups of coffee a day and he is 95, still living in his own home, mild dementia and happy. I guess he must be an outlier. He also did night shifts for a long period of time as a fireman so who knows how he has made it this long!
I know many doctors in their 50s and 60s and they drink 500-1000mg of caffeine A DAY! They’re as healthy as can be. I don’t think Dr. Amen is completely honest. I think he just dislikes caffeine.
@@rootlessnurse6345I agree. As with any other drug the measure is what matters. I never had any problem with 2/3 cups a day. Sometimes I only have one for breakfast and never felt like I needed more.

I appreciate all these wonderful ways to make my brain and overall health better. What about all these new mushroom coffees that are suppose to be good for you. I started them and have much less stomach pains. Just curious. Do the mushrooms show on drug tests? We have random ones at work where I do medical transportation. Need to be sure about that one. Thanks again for your kind and generous spirit.
The ammount of green tea that you would need to drink to get an efficacious dose of L-theanine would get you on par with the same amount of caffeine as from coffee. Buy L-theanine in 200 mg capsules.
I have been off of any caffeine and feel better I love green tea helping me to lose weight too, once you quit drinking soda pop my goodness taste it it's nasty I spit that out,so make my own green iced tea and herbal hot tea in winter, may I ask is raw honey okay in my hot ☕️?thanks I enjoy you very .much appreciated the education too

Since that day, I don’t take caffeine. Now my sister is facing the same problem. She can't spend one day without tea or she's gonna have a bad migraine day.
There’s fibre and polyphenols
In coffee. It’s been reported that up to 3 cups a day leads to a slight increased longevity. Wasn’t a fan for decades but now I am.
@ClaudiaM-om4em I’ve neither cognitive issues nor withdrawn. 1-2 cups a day. Everything in moderation. Do you drink alcohol?
Thank you. Here 2 cups a day and will be better ❤
Since I stopped drinking coffee in the morning my whole day shifted to be more energised ❤😊
Doubtful- denial
@karenlynch8348 hmm Your comment isn't very clear 🤔
Thank you, was wondering your stance on green tea
Very helpful, thank you! :-)
What’s the best green tea to purchase? Any recommendation?
Thanks SIR ❤😂
I'll try green tea but nothing like coffee and red bull etc for big energy, focus.
Green tea makes me jittery. I'm probably allergic to it. On the other hand, I love coffee. I stopped drinking coffee several times in my life but always came back to it. Love coffee ;)
Amen Dr. AMEN ❤
Great advice on the tea 🍵😊
Caffeine with a supplement of L-Theanine for me seems to work very nicely.
I discovered ginger tea for energy.
(Some people may be allergic to ginger)
My granddad drinks at least 3 cups of coffee a day and he is 95, still living in his own home, mild dementia and happy. I guess he must be an outlier. He also did night shifts for a long period of time as a fireman so who knows how he has made it this long!
Genetics.
@@rootlessnurse6345 I don’t think he ever said there aren’t people who drink excessive amounts of caffeine. He also never said they were all certain to feel symptoms. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences, big or small.
most research doesn't indicate that caffeine is bad fro the brain. Dr Amen is speaking bs imo. Cherry picking blood flow research doesn't reflect the truth
I am at the point where I feel I wouldnt be the same person without it, dont know if it would be for the better or worse
Green Tea Light 🍵✨🙏🏼🙂
The ammount of green tea that you would need to drink to get an efficacious dose of L-theanine would get you on par with the same amount of caffeine as from coffee.
Buy L-theanine in 200 mg capsules.
No ? If your tea is organic its egal 30 mg of both
@@Zenith6000 30mg in the what volume of Green tea?
Can I make a wee suggestion, a lapel microphone would make your videos a lot easier to listen to 🙂
I have a matcha addiction, and i can't sleep. I am trying to quit... I quit for a few months and I was sleeping so well....
I love taking thienine with a cup of coffee, definitly helps that stress response you can get from it
لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له, محمد رسول الله
I have been off of any caffeine and feel better I love green tea helping me to lose weight too, once you quit drinking soda pop my goodness taste it it's nasty I spit that out,so make my own green iced tea and herbal hot tea in winter, may I ask is raw honey okay in my hot ☕️?thanks I enjoy you very .much appreciated the education too
My one cup of Matcha and a bit of chocolate is ok? Yay. Green Tea is amazing.
Which green tea do you recommend!?
After I cleaned up my diet, coffee does nothing, doesn't boost my energy, doesn't mess with my sleep, no jitters. I love the morning ritual, and the taste of black coffee, keeps me sane and the rest of the world safe from me LOL.
Give Yerba Mate a try won't regret it!
