She's a beauty! Starting in 1950 Chevy called the hard top the Bel Air in their advertising, and in '53 became its own series.

The 235 post 1952 has a fully pressurized oil system making it capable of long service.
Except for the 53 paired with a manual trans. The 216 was capable of a very long life as long as you didn't over rev it.
216 had babbitt bearings, splash oiling instead of pressure oiling the rod bearing
