Join us as we take a trip to one of our favourite camping spots at Inskip
Point near Rainbow Beach in Queensland Australia where we set up for a few days of rest and relaxation..... or do we?
Welcome to this episode, Camping at Inskip Point. if you love camping or touring in a caravan or tent or other means there is a spot to suit you at this fantastic location that is the gateway to the beautiful K'gari ( Fraser Island) which is another of our favorite camping destinations.

Thanks for that. Figgy Jam is a jam (preserve or jelly) made from figs that we add to some cheese on crackers. Yum!
@@Explornations Oh, figgy jam. I thought you had said piggy jam. I love figs. Bacon, too, but fig jam wins. I hope y’all find comfort wherever life finds you, whether in the road or back at home. And may we all have endless supplies of figgy jam.

@@user-qt1yj3vu7p that was MV Natone section of Inskip Point. This area has made it in the news recently with a few near shore land slips. The press call them Sink Holes but it is just sand being washed away by fast flowing tides between Inskip and Hook Point on K’gari (Fraser Island). This is nothing really to worry about unless you are camped or parked too close of course.
There was a couple of caravans lost a few years ago. We were in that spot just a week before that.
This has been happening since the last ice age but the media like to sell papers. 😁
@Explornations hi guys thanks for your reply. Yeah heading to inskip for Christmas just sussing out best camping grounds for best sun for solar. Thanks again Greg
@@user-qt1yj3vu7p it’s busy then. Our favourite is MV Natone then MV Beagle. MV Sarawak is better for caravans but that is where the latest slip happened. MV Dorigo is a bit more exposed to the wind but also has places you can get a caravan in.
Natone and Beagle have pretty soft Sandy tracks through the park which can make taking a caravan more difficult but camper trailers are good in any of them.
