Well, that is not a proper launch. First find your perfect rpm to set the turbo pressure right, my audi a5 3.0 tdi launch perfectly at 2200 RPM. Then you need some wheelspin to find the perfect grip. So try holding at 2200 RPM for a few seconds, like 5 seconds then release, had on throttle to wheel spin then go 2nd gear and u have launched like a rocket.

On a manual ? Can u do it on an automatic?
I have a manual and if I do that it just drops revs at 1k... I have to launch at 3500 RPM to get a good start.
