Get away from that ramp and back it up til you get to the yellow, then red to simulate parking at a supermarket. Get out & check it but try to get as close as possible to the building or fence or whatever just to see if you can use the lines as a gauge (keep the lines low and keep consistent.) Try to shoot for the spot the yellow turns to red, get out and check the distance, then try to go back further without touching.
I have just bought a Parkmate solar reversing camera (identical to Auto Vox), but the user manual does not tell you how how to change the various options in the menue, a bit of help would be appreciated.
Have you measured what the space difference the gridlines correspond to? For example, when you get at the red lines, what is the actual distance between your bumper and the mark on the ground or the object behind you?
Recommend if you Get one of these also buy anti theft screws for your license plate, or go for the garmin Bc40 if you have a garmin sat nav and remove when ever you leave the car, good video
One can just steal the Garmin in 2 seconds at the traffic light (or at every stop you make), any walking passenger or motorcyclist. It's just mind-numbingly stupid that they included no keylock or safety screw...easiest way to throw out 150-200€ I'd say.
@@GeekyStuff are you still using it? I’ve read many review about water getting in the battery or solar battery not holding charge specially in winter. It will be a nuisance getting it off the back plate to charge at home and requiring new double tape every time. Many have complained that it broke after first one. There appears to be some lagging on the screen as you drove at speed. If you’re still using the item since uploading the review, has the connection between cam and monitor slowed down or any thing else not working as good as when the item was new?
Might I find this useful when towing my caravan? Click the button, see what s behind me eg. And of course the taxing reverse park. Thanks. BTW very well put together vid. Thanks.
WARNING: may not be suitable for colder climates. I have 2 of these cameras; bought one and the company replaced it when it stopped working. Both are non-functional now. I'm assuming there is some correlation between cold weather and the cameras malfunctioning as the wintertime was when they both stopped working.
It might not be cold weather that killed it. It's the lithium battery that's dead. Once you let it drain to zero a lot of these just does not charge again. This might happen in winter when there is no sun to get solar power, so it's probably a good idea to charge it with a wall outlet to avoid going 0. If ever your curious, you can look up how to jump lithium ion battery. It should give it enough charge to bring it back to life. Most these things should have a BMS chip(Battery manage system chip) to prevent it, but like all things in China it's all disposable even if it's expensive.
@@dresslikejackieo if you still have it, and if you dont mind, charge it with the usb from a ciggarette lighter adapter(12v) i hear it jump start dead lithium batteres. If that doesnt work you can crack it open and replace the batteries. That thing is too expensive to toss out.
Enjoy winter part: fiddle with sticky taking the damn thing off to charge it. this is so stupid. They should add removable powerbank so you can take it out and charge at home.
WHAT MODEL NUMBER IS THIS?

How good is the sticky take for the camera out? In my experience is that the dont last long
Is it ok to use in UK?
Can it pass MOT?
can it be powered in USB cable alone or have to be on a cig lighter?
On the first charge does the light go from red to green
No hassle with long wire runs! Neat camera. Cheers
Absolutely mate, it's a cool little camera.
@@GeekyStuff are you still using the camera and also what would recommned for a front and rear cam like this please

very nice, containing all the details i want to know, thank you
Has the system been reliable since you installed it?
I bought mine and it stopped working after a month. This seems to be a very common issue. DO NOT BUY
No
Do you know if they do solar wireless with mirror rather than display?
did you ever find the answer?
The charger has to stay plugged in for the mount to work which sucks.
True, but it does have a USB port to plug in an accessory. At least the ones in the US do.
Do you know what the range is as I was thinking about using it on an articulated lorry
32 feet
can put it front
They will steal your license plate
Does the reverse monitor stay on when driving
There's a timer you can set for this and set how long you want the monitor to stay on for. I do show this in the video 😊
What if u want it on constantly whilst your driving so U can your beady eye on things
@@endofd-d7c press the on button and is if by magic the monitor goes on.

Is it still working ok?
No
Quiet good whats going to stop someone from taking the camera when they see it
Yea, but it would be absolutely useless on its own.
Nice
do the guidelines move when you steer the wheel?
