  • Hey guys!
We are here with a fresh vlog in the Ladakh series. In previous vlog we somehow managed to reach Pangong from Hunder. It was already dark when we arrived at our homestay hence we explored Pangong lake in morning. The famous three idiot point was few hundred meters away from our stay and there were many yellow scooters and colored bum seats on which one can get clicked by giving 50 bucks pp, TBH we found this extremely touristy. But the highlight of this vlog is a lesser known side of Pangong. As we started our onward journey to Hanle, the pangong lake was beside us for the first thirty kilometers. The vibrant blue color of the lake was clearly seen from the road, this view was way better than what we saw in morning. Pangong to Hanle ride was roughly around 180 k.m. and there were many times we were all alone on the road, not a single soul in sight. The last 50 k.m from Loma to Hanle was very beautiful, probably the best we have seen in our Ladakh bike trip. We finally reached Hanle at around 6 in the evening, and our booked stay was full so after a while, we managed to find a stay.
Stay tuned for next vlog in Ladakh series!

Great one! How bad is the road from pangong to hanle? Should I go leh and then go hanle from leh?

Go ahead with Pangong to Hanle plan. There is two route to reach Hanle from pangong. Pangong to Chuhsul is same portion in these two route then a diversion comes at chusul. One way is Chushul-Loma- Hanle and another is chushul-Mahe bridge-Hanle. First route via loma is the one we took. As you have seen, there is no marked road in chusul-loma section but it was manageable. And second route via mahe bridge is what army person was suggesting us to take because road on this route is better but little longer route.
Whatever option you choose between two, that will be anytime better than going pangong to leh and again leh to hanle. It will take one extra day also. so big NO.

Fantastic vlog. Both you are lucky to enjoying the remotest hills area. Fabulous sight. The journey will stay your memories forever.
