To be able to go 7 minutes, the whole time never moving from the one scene of clouds, without it getting boring and keeping you engaged the entire time was super impressive. Tom and nova killed it. And as always, knox proving again that he's got the best breakdown channel. This was a good one!

I've heard a few people taking the line, "the greatest since old Slim Shady", as Tom saying he's better than Em. Tom didn't say that he is the greatest rapper ever, or that he's better then Em. He just said he's the greatest since OLD Slim Shady. I took that as Tom saying that no one else has created as much controversy, has had as much impact, or become as popular since the Slim Shady days.

I did. But then I argued with myself in the space of three seconds I had to either stop or keep it moving. Cause my brain thought what is 'down' - is it meaning gravity and earth or just 'down' relative to space. I am new to rap..I'm an old rock n roller. Tom brought me into the genre. I just realized that you, knox, are a break down expert, and not just a reactor...and you are number one in your game. You break down the bars and the technicality of the beats and lyricism. It isn't about whether you agree with the message or if you like the song or hook. I love this. I didn't always like Tom's songs or hooks on first listen, but then they grow on you...I mean like, really grow on you to the point where they get stuck in my head...I love him...anyhow, I am now exploring other artists like Dax, Upchurch, and of course, you, Knox. With this song I realized that it is to all his haters, even the childhood bullies who doubted him his whole life. I also realized that Tom's experience as a pro wrestler flavors songs like this...those wrestlers say ridiculous cocky things...like, I am a superstar...lol...but, Tom did an interaction with fans before the drop, and he said he knew he wasn't the best rapper, nor did he ever expect Em to look down and notice him. He isn't declaring he is as good as Em, but he is the best at pushing the envelope that challenges our times. IMO.
This wasn't nearly the best of Knox Hill's work. He is the best on UA-cam hands down but there wasn't really much to breakdown this song. You will really appreciate Knox Hill when he starts breaking down more material with double and triple meaning throughout the whole song. That's when i really appreciate his music breakdowns. Knox Hill is unparalleled in that aspect.

I also love the double he uses when he says, "til I'm upside down, I won't look down". On one hand, he's saying he won't stop until he's dead, but on another hand, if he was literally upside down and looked down he would technically still be looking up, therefore never ACTUALLY looking down. This song was THE one. I didn't know it could get more dope than No Response, but even though this is a very different track, the technical lyricism is just as good but the beat and cadences are SO epic. Well being a HOG member we have found out that while filming this video, Nova had an extreme medical emergency. Ambulance attendants got her some what back to normal, and Nova, being the Warrior Princess, wanted to finish the video, so it would be released on Friday, this is why Tom's voice is cracking so bad he was beat from filming all day and the fact that Nova was not 100% really took an emotional toll on Tom. Great reaction and break down.

I'm 40, so hip-hop when I was growing up was all lyrical MC, now with UA-cam and mumble rappers generation, Eminem's amazing penmanship goes over alot of younger and older hip-hop fans, because they enjoy a loud beat and easy to figure out lyrics. This is not lyrical hip-hop is about. This is alot to do with people liking his old music. But his penmanship is as dangerous as ever, just go through ever bar that is used in the 2 music to be murdered by albums. And kamikaze albums. Revival was full of great lyrics, but people don't like when there's to much to understand. I love it, and I love Eminem's new sober music. It's beautiful to sit back and read his lyrics, fucking beautiful
one thing i've noticed that you kinda hit on is that Tom seems to often channel the same energy as a rapper as you would expect from a wrestler. When knox was talking about the pacing of the song and the start-stops, it reminded me of a good wrestling match where the tempo changes constantly until you have this hard finish. I think Tom understands a lot about entertainment with his wrestling background and uses it to his advantage in music as well.

Nick Slade I did catch it. But in about the three seconds I had to either respond or not I argued semantics in my head. It depends on your definition of ‘down’ and whether that is relative to the earth or not or just space in general. One could simply lift their head back whilst being upside down in the sky and he looking ‘down’ on earth. Or they could not tilt their heads back in the the relative space sense and be looking ‘down’ at heaven. Complicated yes, decided not to go there as the reaction is already long enough

I'll be the first to say I hated on Tom when I first heard him. I wrote him off as another rapper who was just making songs for shock value. But I realized, the more I listened to him, I began to understand what he was really doing and by the time People So Stupid came out, I really respected him for what he was doing. And now he's one of my favorite artists. This song was lyrical as hell and he absolutely killed the performance.
He’s been killin’ it for years, I was so stoked on him after he dropped Politically Incorrect and the Everybody Hates Me, those have been my favourites along with Way Off and Helluvit. I knew he was going to go big. Not only does he make great music, but he actually has a good message to go along with it.

He just said he's the greatest since OLD Slim Shady. I took that as Tom saying that no one else has created as much controversy, has had as much impact, or become as popular since the Slim Shady days.

When you’re falling upside down and you look down you’re actually LOOKING UP so even when he looks down he’s still LOOKING UP! Bars in the hook and no one’s spotted it that I’ve watched. I thought you did when your face changed after he said it but it was because of the instrumental change.
I did. But then I argued with myself in the space of three seconds I had to either stop or keep it moving. Cause my brain thought what is 'down' - is it meaning gravity and earth or just 'down' relative to space. Because if I'm upside down in the sky and simply put my head back I am therefore looking 'down' at earth. Or, if I simply look down like I was standing on two feet then you're right I'm looking 'down' at space. I don't know how my mind works man lol. I am new to rap..I'm an old rock n roller. Tom brought me into the genre. I just realized that you, knox, are a break down expert, and not just a reactor...and you are number one in your game. You break down the bars and the technicality of the beats and lyricism. It isn't about whether you agree with the message or if you like the song or hook. I love this. I didn't always like Tom's songs or hooks on first listen, but then they grow on you...I mean like, really grow on you to the point where they get stuck in my head...I love him...anyhow, I am now exploring other artists like Dax, Upchurch, and of course, you, Knox. With this song I realized that it is to all his haters, even the childhood bullies who doubted him his whole life. I also realized that Tom's experience as a pro wrestler flavors songs like this...those wrestlers say ridiculous cocky things...like, I am a superstar...lol...but, Tom did an interaction with fans before the drop, and he said he knew he wasn't the best rapper, nor did he ever expect Em to look down and notice him. On one hand, he's saying he won't stop until he's dead, but on another hand, if he was literally upside down and looked down he would technically still be looking up, therefore never ACTUALLY looking down. This song was THE one. I didn't know it could get more dope than No Response, but even though this is a very different track, the technical lyricism is just as good but the beat and cadences are SO epic. Well being a HOG member we have found out that while filming this video, Nova had an extreme medical emergency. Ambulance attendants got her some what back to normal, and Nova, being the Warrior Princess, wanted to finish the video, so it would be released on Friday, this is why Tom's voice is cracking so bad he was beat from filming all day and the fact that Nova was not 100% really took an emotional toll on Tom.

Knox, man.... this is the one.... Tom went next level on this shit on so many different levels..... He has the right to say everything he said in this track. We know Tom dont lie to us... Its either the truth or his truth..... If he stays on this path, he'll have some red tape to cut, but he can get that Grammy. He's got every tool in the shed to make it happen. Token is nice. he's alright... but he don't want none of Tom.... maybe he does... but he gonna get Mac lethal'd lol... And yeah the strain in his voice makes this song so much extra. I'm a stan, and I think Eminem's penmanship has gotten even better than the old slim. So much so, I think people today like a hard beat and Eminem's lyrics are to complicated they go over there head. Great to see a lyrisist like Tom in today's fake mumble rapper generation.
Ems pen game has def gotten better n better. But I can see y ppl might like his older stuff more. It may of packed more a punch cause it was what he was going thru at that moment. His aggressive flows and rhyme schemes sound so amazing on those dre beats

I'm 40, so hip-hop when I was growing up was all lyrical MC, now with UA-cam and mumble rappers generation, Eminem's amazing penmanship goes over alot of younger and older hip-hop fans, because they enjoy a loud beat and easy to figure out lyrics. This is not lyrical hip-hop is about. This is alot to do with people liking his old music. But his penmanship is as dangerous as ever, just go through ever bar that is used in the 2 music to be murdered by albums. And kamikaze albums. Revival was full of great lyrics, but people don't like when there's to much to understand. I love it, and I love Eminem's new sober music. It's beautiful to sit back and read his lyrics, fucking beautiful
one thing i've noticed that you kinda hit on is that Tom seems to often channel the same energy as a rapper as you would expect from a wrestler. When knox was talking about the pacing of the song and the start-stops, it reminded me of a good wrestling match where the tempo changes constantly until you have this hard finish. I think Tom understands a lot about entertainment with his wrestling background and uses it to his advantage in music as well.

Knox, I have never listened to rap in my life. Then through your channel by accident, I found Tom. BTW before I go off on Tom's immense talent, I want to commend you on your analysis of all types of music. I am hooked on your metal mondays and ur intelligence and articulation of music u are not familiar with is spot on. Love your channel. Now Tom's music & videos are off the chart great. This song is the Stairway to Heaven of rap music...everything he puts out is fire. His writing, lyricism, observations of the world, pride in the American dream & his overall down to earth cool nature makes a guy who despised rap now explore the genre, especially the content like yourself, Adam Calhoun and the GOAT Tom. Nick Slade I did catch it. But in about the three seconds I had to either respond or not I argued semantics in my head. It depends on your definition of ‘down’ and whether that is relative to the earth or not or just space in general. One could simply lift their head back whilst being upside down in the sky and he looking ‘down’ on earth. Or they could not tilt their heads back in the the relative space sense and be looking ‘down’ at heaven. Complicated yes, decided not to go there as the reaction is already long enough

I'll be the first to say I hated on Tom when I first heard him. I wrote him off as another rapper who was just making songs for shock value. But I realized, the more I listened to him, I began to understand what he was really doing and by the time People So Stupid came out, I really respected him for what he was doing. And now he's one of my favorite artists. This song was lyrical as hell and he absolutely killed the performance.
He’s been killin’ it for years, I was so stoked on him after he dropped Politically Incorrect and the Everybody Hates Me, those have been my favourites along with Way Off and Helluvit. I knew he was going to go big. Not only does he make great music, but he actually has a good message to go along with it.
@@JesusFriedChrist yeah for real man! I had to go back and listen to his older stuff with a new perspective to truly appreciate it. I think that's what a lot of people's problem is with him. There's a lot of satire and tongue-in-cheek humor that I think a lot of people don't get.
