I love this comment so much. I love so many styles and blend them all together . Farmhouse , vintage , chippy , new, antiques . Sometimes I feel confused by what my style is. But it’s my home , my little piece of heaven on earth .
It all looks great. Your home is comfortable and inviting. I just love the colours, especially the cushions and throws. The porch area is so nice and that throw is beautiful! I mentioned it in your video when you bought it. Ive been looking for one like it. My daughters birthday is on Halloween and she loves pumpkins! She has a glass pumpkin bowl too. I too love to decorate my home and porch for the seasons. My husband gets a kick out of seeing that I change it up every year!
Happy Fall, Arika! Tip for you: when decorating shelves you want to draw diagonal lines of color. So for instance, in your hutch if you have something orange in the bottom right you would place something orange in the top left. Then in the bottom left you would place something green and in the top right you would place something green. Arranging colors in this way is pleasing to the eye. Hope that makes the shelf decorating a little easier for it for you next time.🍁😊🍁

I do know these tips, but I don’t always remember when I’m decorating.😂I seem to get overwhelmed at first , then I’ll usually remember when I watch it back on video. 👏🏻😀
I really like everything. The only suggestion I have is to switch the items on the bottom shelf of the hutch so it doesn’t look like there’s only one side decorated for fall and looks more balanced. Love the throw blanket. I too have the worst luck with Amazon pillow cover colors and trying to match them with the other decor I have.
Loved the video! My favorite parts were sweet Jaxon's baby picture and how you put the sweet little crow next to it and I also loved seeing sweet Bell and Ollie watch you decorate. Wonder what they think lol. So sweet. And your porch is so cozy! Thank you for being realistic and showing us the before of a lived in home. To me the best thing about Fall is the beautiful colors like we get here in Northern Michigan. That’s what I love to bring into my home. Your porch is just beautiful! Everything looks beautiful Arika! I love your hutch. I think just putting up some of your favorite pieces or small touches of the seasons is perfect! My girls are picking up on some of my styles (they’re 19 and 21). I love when they come home from shopping and say “mom, we got you a prize!”…and it will be a little decor piece they KNOW I would have grabbed myself ❤.
It’s hard to get in the fall mood in Florida when it’s still in the high 80’s, but I try!

Fall really has arrived at the doorstep of the Dorsetts! Everything looks great.
You are so right. Decorating is a process. You should have fun with it. As for your hutch, I really do think that some dishes as a regular background for just a few seasonal/holiday pieces that you switch out is the way to go.
You made me smile while watching you clip your sunflowers and then arrange them in your boxes out on your porch. I did that same thing this last weekend. I have hanging pots instead of boxes. I also switch the Fall flowers out with poinsettias with our Christmas decorations out there. I always do that, even though one lady on You Tube did it while apologizing. She said it was sort of a grandma thing to do. I say if you like it and it makes you happy, go for it. This really is supposed to be fun!

I love all your fall decorations! I got all mine out the other day and went ahead and did mine. It is starting to feel like fall here too some mornings. Our daughter is at CFAW down their at Liberty this morning weekend. I told her to look for Patrick 😊 her and her friend are their checking things out. Arika- Your house looks beautiful !.. Your window boxes are sunshine on a cloudy day... For your bread box, turn your lid upside down ( see if that works for you)...I have to sometimes if I have an over flow of breads ...And you put kitchen towels in yours?! Great Idea ...
For your hutch you could go to Dollar Tree and get seasonal plates and bowls to decorate your hutch. They have all kinds of things to go with each pattern

Looks Very Pretty, I finished Decorating 2 days ago. My hutch looks a little wider, I leave my white dishes in it. And add Different holiday Decor . I am like you , love the same fall colors. Makes me Happy. I removed my doors cut the wood out of the middle of the shelf’s very open Love it. I have many throws also. Aldi’s has some very pretty ones now. I bought the baskets from Walmart. Mum ‘s from Hobby Lobby. Went back and bought 4 more lol
I love white crocks too...but can be expensive as always trending... I spray some I won't actually be using to eat from but just didplay...lots bargains to be had that way. Just get a few together, scrub n dry well and spray...gives lots more design options to be changed to your taste ❤️
