This is a beautiful worship song and love iis a central message of the Gospel but to know that God is love is not enough. It is like a foundation but it is not like all the structure of the building. Knowing God is love in a deep sense is enough for faith. But you should also know that He is holy, He is Lord and Judge. There is a balance.

Im very sorry for your sorrow on the passong of your dad. I lost my brother last Dec. 5 2022. He was severly handicapped. Non-verbal and on a feeding tube among other ailments. He was 64. His Birthday is comong up in Sept. I still grieve like you are.
